Skin overview

This is a solid-colour MP7 built on shades of yellow, from pale sand on the receiver to bright ochre on the magazine and stock. In Minimal Wear the finish looks practically the same as a fresh copy at playing distance, with only tiny marks visible on close inspection. It gives the clean look of the skin without paying for the top grade.

Item type: smg. Consumer Grade is the lowest tier of the rarity scale: the most common skins, most often used in trade-up contracts.

Solid Color: a single colour without a pattern; wear dulls it evenly and rubs it off along the edges.

The remaining qualities of this skin: Factory New, Field-Tested, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred.

Appearance in Minimal Wear

The receiver and upper body are painted a light sandy tan, with the top rail, side rail, sights, trigger guard and muzzle left in dark grey metal. The magazine, the folding foregrip and the stock butt pad are a richer ochre yellow, and a small orange accent sits near the trigger.

Tiny specks may appear on the muzzle edge and the corners of the magazine. The tan receiver and the cream grip stay fully coloured. At normal viewing distance in game the skin looks the same as Factory New. Only close inspection reveals the difference.

Minimal Wear wear: float 0.07–0.15

The whole float range of MP7 | Short Ochre is 0–0.747; Minimal Wear takes the 0.07–0.15 segment (11% of the scale). Within the range, copies with a lower float look cleaner and are valued higher.

Origin of the skin

The skin’s collection is The Radiant Collection with 28 skins in total. It does not drop from a case: the collection has none — such skins come from operation drops, souvenir packages or the market.

What it costs in each quality

Among 9 skins of the MP7 in the Consumer Grade grade and this quality, this skin is the most affordable.

Souvenir version

There is also a the Souvenir version with tournament stickers.

Which stickers suit it

Warm stickers in gold, orange, brown or black match the tan and ochre palette well. Placing them on the flat side of the receiver keeps them clear of the dark rails and lets them stand out against the sandy paint.

What to look at before you buy

  • Since the finish is a plain solid colour, the float position within the wear grade matters more than any pattern, so compare the float values of the copies on offer.
  • Look at the muzzle, rail edges and magazine bottom in the inspect view, as these are the first places to lose paint.
  • Souvenir copies come with pre-applied stickers, so check whether you want those stickers on the weapon.
  • Check for any applied stickers or a name tag and decide whether they fit your plans for the skin.

Who should buy Minimal Wear

  • For players who want a near-clean look and see no reason to pay for the top grade.
  • For sticker crafts where barely visible marks do not matter.
  • The practical pick among the clean grades.
