Souvenir AK-47 | Case Hardened (Field-Tested)

Skin overview

Field-Tested is where the case-hardened colours start to look used: the gold and blue areas lose some depth and lighter spots show through on the edges. From normal distance the rifle still reads as a colourful AK with a wooden stock. For many players this is the practical balance between the look of the finish and its cost.

Item type: rifle. The weapon is available only on the Terrorist side. Classified is the second-rarest weapon tier, only Covert sits above it.

Patina: an aged metal surface; wear is part of the design, so the gap between qualities is less visible.

The remaining qualities of this skin: Factory New, Minimal Wear, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred. The same quality also exists as the StatTrak™ version.

Appearance in Field-Tested

The receiver, dust cover, barrel, gas tube and magazine are covered in a patina finish that imitates colour case-hardening: irregular patches of deep blue, violet and golden bronze blend into each other. The handguard, pistol grip and stock stay wooden, with a reddish-orange grain that contrasts with the cool metal tones.

Wear becomes visible on the magazine edges, the front sight and the corners of the receiver, where grey steel shows through. The colours on flat surfaces lose some saturation. In game the pattern is still clearly readable. The wooden furniture may show light scuffs.

Field-Tested wear: float 0.15–0.38

The whole float range of Souvenir AK-47 | Case Hardened is 0–1; Field-Tested takes the 0.15–0.38 segment (23% of the scale). Within the range, copies with a lower float look cleaner and are valued higher.

Souvenir version

This is the Souvenir version: such copies dropped to tournament viewers in souvenir packages; the team stickers and signatures on them cannot be removed or chosen. Souvenir items never carry StatTrak™. There is also the regular version without tournament stickers.

Which stickers suit it

Gold, holo and blue-toned stickers echo the case-hardened colours well. Placements on the receiver above the magazine keep stickers visible against the metal, while warm brown and orange stickers can tie in with the wood.

What to look at before you buy

• Look at the pattern on the top of the receiver and on the magazine, since the amount of blue and gold differs between copies and affects how the rifle looks in hand.
• Check the float position within the wear range, as a low float in a grade keeps more colour on the edges.
• Inspect the magazine edges and the front sight, which lose colour first.
• Check existing stickers and name tag, and whether they suit the colourful metal.

Who should buy Field-Tested

• Players who want a recognisable case-hardened AK for everyday matches.
• Buyers looking for a balance between look and cost.
• Conclusion: the practical middle choice.
