Souvenir AK-47 | Midnight Laminate (Factory New)

Skin overview

AK-47 | Midnight Laminate is a two-tone Restricted rifle finish that pairs iridescent purple metal with blue laminate-style furniture. In Factory New the purple keeps an even sheen across the receiver and magazine, and the grain on the stock and handguard stays crisp. This is the grade for buyers who want the colour split exactly as designed.

Item type: rifle. The weapon is available only on the Terrorist side. Restricted sits in the middle of the rarity scale: noticeably rarer than Mil-Spec, yet not truly rare.

Hydrographic: the pattern is applied as a film over the metal; wear rubs it down to the base, starting with raised parts.

The remaining qualities of this skin: Minimal Wear, Field-Tested, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred.

Appearance in Factory New

The receiver, dust cover, magazine and gas tube are coated in an iridescent purple that shifts towards violet and blue as the light changes. The buttstock, pistol grip and lower handguard carry a teal-blue finish with a visible layered grain, so the wooden parts look like dyed laminate.

Paint is essentially untouched on every part of the rifle. The purple keeps a uniform sheen on the receiver and magazine, and the grain on the stock and grip is sharp. In game the magazine and handguard look exactly as on the preview. Nothing on the weapon shows bare metal.

Factory New wear: float 0–0.07

The whole float range of Souvenir AK-47 | Midnight Laminate is 0–0.75; Factory New takes the 0–0.07 segment (9% of the scale). Within the range, copies with a lower float look cleaner and are valued higher.

Souvenir version

This is the Souvenir version: such copies dropped to tournament viewers in souvenir packages; the team stickers and signatures on them cannot be removed or chosen. Souvenir items never carry StatTrak™. There is also the regular version without tournament stickers.

Which stickers suit it

Holo and foil stickers in purple, blue or silver match the iridescent receiver and the teal furniture. Placing them on the receiver above the magazine keeps them on the purple area, where they stay visible in first-person view. Warm reds and oranges clash with the cool palette and are best avoided.

What to look at before you buy

• Check where the float sits within its wear grade, since a low float in a worn grade looks noticeably cleaner.
• Look closely at the magazine edges, as they wear first and stay in view while you play.
• Souvenir copies come with stickers already applied, so make sure they suit you before buying.
• The pattern has little effect on this plain two-tone finish, so focus on float, stickers and any name tag.

Who should buy Factory New

• Collectors who want the colour split and the sheen exactly as designed.
• Sticker crafters who need a clean purple base for holo or foil stickers.
• The choice for those who value a flawless finish above saving money.
