Souvenir AK-47 | Orbit Mk01 (Minimal Wear)

Skin overview

This wear keeps the full character of Orbit Mk01: red body, black and graphite panels, glowing segments on the magazine. Any marks are small and sit on the outermost edges, so from the first-person view the rifle looks practically new. It is the grade for buyers who want a clean red AK without paying for the very top of the range.

Item type: rifle. The weapon is available only on the Terrorist side. Restricted sits in the middle of the rarity scale: noticeably rarer than Mil-Spec, yet not truly rare.

Gunsmith: several techniques combined on one item; some parts rub off, others only dull.

Other qualities of this skin: Factory New, Field-Tested, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred. The same quality also exists as the StatTrak™ version.

Appearance in Minimal Wear

The receiver is painted deep red with a dark graphite dust cover and black panels with small technical markings along its side. The handguard and gas tube combine black and grey sections with red accents, while the barrel and front sight stay dark.

Tiny scuffs may appear on the muzzle area, the lower edge of the magazine and the corners of the stock. The receiver, dust cover and magazine segments remain clean. At normal viewing distance it is very hard to tell apart from Factory New. Lower floats in this grade look practically untouched.

Minimal Wear quality — float range 0.07–0.15

The whole float range of Souvenir AK-47 | Orbit Mk01 is 0–0.55; Minimal Wear takes the 0.07–0.15 segment (15% of the scale). The lower the float within the range, the cleaner the surface looks and the higher a copy is usually priced.

Origin of the skin

Souvenir AK-47 | Orbit Mk01 belongs to The Operation Hydra Collection, which holds 17 skins.

The source is Operation Hydra Case.

What it costs in each quality

Among 8 skins of the AK-47 in the Restricted grade and this quality, this skin is the dearest.

Souvenir version

This is the Souvenir version: such copies dropped to tournament viewers in souvenir packages; the team stickers and signatures on them cannot be removed or chosen. Souvenir items never carry StatTrak™. There is also the regular version without tournament stickers.

Stickers and crafts

Red, black, silver and holo stickers in a red tone fit the scheme best and keep the technical look intact. Placing them on the dark dust cover or the black receiver panels gives good contrast without hiding the red. Bright greens or blues will clash with the palette unless a deliberate contrast is the goal.

What to check before buying

• Check the float position within the wear range, since the magazine segments show the difference first.
• Look at the magazine ribs and the edges of the dust cover, as these are the first parts to lose paint.
• Note any applied stickers or name tag, since they change how the red receiver reads.
• Decide whether you want a StatTrak™ or Souvenir version, as both exist for this skin.

Who should buy Minimal Wear

• Players who want a near-new look in first person without paying for the top grade.
• Crafters for whom tiny edge scuffs do not matter under stickers.
• A sensible pick for a clean-looking rifle at a more reasonable level.
