Skin overview

Battle-Scarred Chrome Cannon turns the polished mirror finish into a heavily scuffed, darker surface. The colour bands are still present in places, but large areas of the receiver, stock and magazine show wear and lose their reflection. It reads as a rough, worn-down rifle, which some players prefer to the clean chrome.

Item type: sniper rifle. Covert is the top weapon rarity: usually the most prominent items of a collection or case.

Gunsmith: several techniques combined on one item; some parts rub off, others only dull.

The remaining qualities of this skin: Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested and Well-Worn. The same quality also exists as the StatTrak™ version.

How the skin looks in Battle-Scarred

The long barrel and muzzle are finished in dark polished chrome that reflects light along their length. The receiver and stock carry the mirror coat with multicoloured accents, bands of purple, magenta, orange and gold that shift as the light changes.

Most of the receiver, stock and magazine show heavy scuffing, and the chrome has lost much of its reflection. The colour accents survive only in fragments. In game the rifle reads as dark and rough rather than polished. Some colour can still be seen on the least exposed parts of the body.

Battle-Scarred wear: float 0.45–1

The whole float range of Souvenir AWP | Chrome Cannon is 0–1; Battle-Scarred takes the 0.45–1 segment (55% of the scale). Within the range, copies with a lower float look cleaner and are valued higher.

Souvenir version

This is the Souvenir version: such copies dropped to tournament viewers in souvenir packages; the team stickers and signatures on them cannot be removed or chosen. Souvenir items never carry StatTrak™. There is also the regular version without tournament stickers.

Which stickers suit it

Holographic and foil stickers in purple, gold or orange echo the multicoloured accents and work well with the mirror coat. Placing them along the receiver keeps them on the most colourful part of the rifle without covering the darker barrel.

What to look at before you buy

  • Check where the float sits within the wear range, since a lower value keeps more of the mirror shine.
  • Look at the edges of the stock and the top of the receiver, where the chrome dulls first.
  • Inspect the colour bands on the body to see how much of the multicoloured accent is still intact.
  • Note any applied stickers or name tag and decide whether they suit the reflective finish.

Who should buy Battle-Scarred

  • Players who prefer a dark, rough version of the rifle.
  • The lowest entry point into the skin.
  • A pick for those who value character over shine.
