Skin overview

The rifle pairs a dark chrome barrel with a body striped in iridescent purple, orange and gold, topped by a carbon fiber scope. In Minimal Wear the mirror surface keeps nearly all of its shine, and the small marks that appear are hard to spot in a match. It gives almost the same look as the cleanest grade while letting the buyer save on it.

Item type: sniper rifle. Covert is the top weapon rarity: usually the most prominent items of a collection or case.

Appearance in Minimal Wear

The long barrel and muzzle are finished in dark polished chrome that reflects light along their length. The receiver and stock carry the mirror coat with multicoloured accents, bands of purple, magenta, orange and gold that shift as the light changes.

Small light scratches can appear on the edges of the stock and the top of the receiver. The chrome still reflects well and the colour bands stay sharp. At normal distance in game it is difficult to tell apart from Factory New. The barrel and magazine look clean.

Minimal Wear wear: float 0.07–0.15

The whole float range of Souvenir AWP | Chrome Cannon is 0–1; Minimal Wear takes the 0.07–0.15 segment (8% of the scale). The lower the float within the range, the cleaner the surface looks and the higher a copy is usually priced.

Souvenir version

This is the Souvenir version: such copies dropped to tournament viewers in souvenir packages; the team stickers and signatures on them cannot be removed or chosen. Souvenir items never carry StatTrak™. There is also the regular version without tournament stickers.

Which stickers suit it

Holographic and foil stickers in purple, gold or orange echo the multicoloured accents and work well with the mirror coat. Placing them along the receiver keeps them on the most colourful part of the rifle without covering the darker barrel.

What to check before buying

• Check where the float sits within the wear range, since a lower value keeps more of the mirror shine.
• Look at the edges of the stock and the top of the receiver, where the chrome dulls first.
• Inspect the colour bands on the body to see how much of the multicoloured accent is still intact.
• Note any applied stickers or name tag and decide whether they suit the reflective finish.
