Show allAllSkin overview
Chrome Cannon is recognised by its reflective finish and the bands of warm and cool colour running along the receiver and stock. In Field-Tested the chrome begins to dull in patches and scratches show on the edges, giving the rifle a used but still colourful look. The multicoloured accents remain clearly readable at normal distance.
Item type: sniper rifle. Covert is the top weapon rarity: usually the most prominent items of a collection or case.
Gunsmith: several techniques combined on one item; some parts rub off, others only dull.
The remaining qualities of this skin: Factory New, Minimal Wear, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred. The same quality also exists as the StatTrak™ version.
How the skin looks in Field-Tested
The long barrel and muzzle are finished in dark polished chrome that reflects light along their length. The receiver and stock carry the mirror coat with multicoloured accents, bands of purple, magenta, orange and gold that shift as the light changes.
The chrome is dulled in patches on the stock edges, receiver top and around the magazine, and scratches become visible. The coloured accents start to lose sharpness where wear concentrates. In game the rifle still reads as colourful and reflective but less glossy. The central areas of the body and much of the barrel remain fairly clean.
Field-Tested wear: float 0.15–0.38
The whole float range of Souvenir AWP | Chrome Cannon is 0–1; Field-Tested takes the 0.15–0.38 segment (23% of the scale). The lower the float within the range, the cleaner the surface looks and the higher a copy is usually priced.
Origin of the skin
The skin’s collection is The Kilowatt Collection with 17 skins in total.
It drops from Kilowatt Case.
What it costs in each quality
Among 17 skins of the AWP in the Covert grade and this quality, this skin ranks 11th by price, counting from the dearest.
Souvenir version
This is the Souvenir version: such copies dropped to tournament viewers in souvenir packages; the team stickers and signatures on them cannot be removed or chosen. Souvenir items never carry StatTrak™. There is also the regular version without tournament stickers.
Which stickers suit it
Holographic and foil stickers in purple, gold or orange echo the multicoloured accents and work well with the mirror coat. Placing them along the receiver keeps them on the most colourful part of the rifle without covering the darker barrel.
What to check before buying
- Check where the float sits within the wear range, since a lower value keeps more of the mirror shine.
- Look at the edges of the stock and the top of the receiver, where the chrome dulls first.
- Inspect the colour bands on the body to see how much of the multicoloured accent is still intact.
- Note any applied stickers or name tag and decide whether they suit the reflective finish.
Who the Field-Tested quality suits
- Players who want the colourful chrome look for everyday matches.
- Buyers looking for a moderate entry into the skin.
- A good daily rifle that still shows its colours.
