Skin overview
Directive turns the Desert Eagle into a sleek, futuristic sidearm, matching the item description's theme of law enforcement of the future. In Field-Tested the black and teal still read clearly, but the edges of the slide and the muzzle start showing lighter metal. This is the condition where the finish begins to look used without losing its overall design.
Item type: pistol. Restricted sits in the middle of the rarity scale: noticeably rarer than Mil-Spec, yet not truly rare.
Patina: an aged metal surface; wear is part of the design, so the gap between qualities is less visible.
The remaining qualities of this skin: Factory New, Minimal Wear, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred. The same quality also exists as the StatTrak™ version.
Appearance in Field-Tested
The slide is dark gunmetal covered with dense horizontal grooves and inset panels tinted deep teal, with a light gradient highlight across its middle and a small red detail near the rear sight. The barrel area and the rail under the slide stay black, keeping the look restrained.
Lighter metal shows along the slide edges, the muzzle and the rear of the slide. The teal panels start to dull at their borders, and the grip corners get first scuffs. At normal distance the design still reads well, with wear noticeable mainly on the outline. The centre of the slide and the grip emblems stay mostly intact.
Field-Tested quality — float range 0.15–0.38
The whole float range of Souvenir Desert Eagle | Directive is 0.06–1; Field-Tested takes the 0.15–0.38 segment (24% of the scale). Within the range, copies with a lower float look cleaner and are valued higher.
Origin of the skin
The skin’s collection is The Gamma 2 Collection with 17 skins in total.
It drops from Gamma 2 Case.
What it costs in each quality
By price this skin is 10th of 11 skins Restricted Desert Eagle in this quality (the first being the dearest).
Souvenir version
This is the Souvenir version: such copies dropped to tournament viewers in souvenir packages; the team stickers and signatures on them cannot be removed or chosen. Souvenir items never carry StatTrak™. There is also the regular version without tournament stickers.
Stickers and crafts
Teal, blue, silver and black stickers blend with the cold palette of the slide. A single red or holographic accent can echo the small red detail near the rear sight. Placements on the flat area of the slide keep the ribbed panels readable.
What to look at before you buy
- Check the float position within the chosen grade, since copies near the cleaner end keep sharper slide edges.
- Look at the muzzle and the slide edges, as they lose coating first.
- Look at the teal panels on worn copies to see how even the colour still is.
- Check applied stickers and any name tag so they match your taste.
Who should buy Field-Tested
- Players who want the full design at a more accessible grade.
- Those who like light edge wear that adds a used feel.
- A practical everyday pick.
