Skin overview

This Desert Eagle keeps its cold palette of black and teal, with ribbed panel lines running along the slide and a small red accent near the rear sight. At Minimal Wear the finish looks almost untouched from a normal viewing distance. Any marks are tiny and sit on the sharpest edges, so the teal panels keep their colour.

Item type: pistol. Restricted sits in the middle of the rarity scale: noticeably rarer than Mil-Spec, yet not truly rare.

Patina: an aged metal surface; wear is part of the design, so the gap between qualities is less visible.

The remaining qualities of this skin: Factory New, Field-Tested, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred. The same quality also exists as the StatTrak™ version.

How the skin looks in Minimal Wear

The slide is dark gunmetal covered with dense horizontal grooves and inset panels tinted deep teal, with a light gradient highlight across its middle and a small red detail near the rear sight. The barrel area and the rail under the slide stay black, keeping the look restrained.

Faint marks may appear on the very front of the muzzle and the sharpest slide corners. They are hard to notice without zooming in. The teal panels and the grip look the same as on a Factory New copy. In game the difference is practically invisible.

Minimal Wear quality — float range 0.07–0.15

The whole float range of Souvenir Desert Eagle | Directive is 0.06–1; Minimal Wear takes the 0.07–0.15 segment (9% of the scale). Within the range, copies with a lower float look cleaner and are valued higher.

Origin of the skin

The skin’s collection is The Gamma 2 Collection with 17 skins in total.

The source is Gamma 2 Case.

Souvenir version

This is the Souvenir version: such copies dropped to tournament viewers in souvenir packages; the team stickers and signatures on them cannot be removed or chosen. Souvenir items never carry StatTrak™. There is also the regular version without tournament stickers.

Stickers and crafts

Teal, blue, silver and black stickers blend with the cold palette of the slide. A single red or holographic accent can echo the small red detail near the rear sight. Placements on the flat area of the slide keep the ribbed panels readable.

What to look at before you buy

  • Check the float position within the chosen grade, since copies near the cleaner end keep sharper slide edges.
  • Look at the muzzle and the slide edges, as they lose coating first.
  • Look at the teal panels on worn copies to see how even the colour still is.
  • Check applied stickers and any name tag so they match your taste.

Who the Minimal Wear quality suits

  • Players who want a near-clean look without paying for the top grade.
  • Sticker crafters, since the difference from Factory New is hard to see in game.
  • A sensible balance between appearance and cost.
