Skin overview

Desert Eagle | Heirloom pairs steel with gold scrollwork in the manner of a hand-engraved pistol. In Battle-Scarred the finish looks heavily worn and the gold is broken up on the edges, giving the gun a rough, long-used character that some buyers choose on purpose.

Item type: pistol. Restricted sits in the middle of the rarity scale: noticeably rarer than Mil-Spec, yet not truly rare.

Patina: an aged metal surface; wear is part of the design, so the gap between qualities is less visible.

Appearance in Battle-Scarred

The slide and frame are finished in dark gunmetal grey with a subtle metallic sheen, and a line of engraved lettering runs along the side of the slide. Gold scroll inlays sit at the front corner of the slide near the muzzle, around the rear of the slide by the ejection port and hammer, with small gold touches on the frame near the trigger.

Heavy wear covers the slide, the muzzle area and the frame edges, and the finish looks uneven across the whole pistol. The gold ornament is broken up and only fragments stay clearly visible. In game the gun reads as rough and aged, with the grip being the least affected part.

Gold, foil and dark-toned stickers echo the scroll inlays and the gunmetal finish. Placing them along the plain middle of the slide keeps the ornament at the muzzle and rear visible, while bright multicoloured stickers tend to clash with the restrained look.
