Skin overview
Serpent Strike reads as a red-orange reptile skin over a dark frame, so it keeps its character even when the paint starts to go. In Field-Tested scratches appear on the slide edges and around the muzzle, while the scale texture and the zigzag line stay readable. Worn spots tend to merge with the mottled pattern rather than stand out.
Item type: pistol. Restricted sits in the middle of the rarity scale: noticeably rarer than Mil-Spec, yet not truly rare.
Spray-Paint: paint sprayed over the metal; scratches and scuffs appear early but look natural.
Other qualities of this skin: Factory New, Minimal Wear, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred. The same quality also exists as the StatTrak™ version.
Appearance in Field-Tested
The slide is covered in orange and rust-red snakeskin scales with darker mottled patches, and a thin bright red zigzag line runs along its side toward the muzzle. The frame, the rail under the barrel and the hammer stay dark gunmetal grey, which frames the warm colours.
Scratches become visible along the top and lower edges of the slide and around the muzzle, with small spots of grey metal. The middle of the slide and the zigzag line are still mostly clean, and the grip serpent shows only light rubbing at the panel edges. In game the skin reads as clearly orange and red, with wear noticeable mainly when inspecting. The frame keeps its plain dark look.
Field-Tested quality — float range 0.15–0.38
The whole float range of Souvenir Desert Eagle | Serpent Strike is 0–0.57; Field-Tested takes the 0.15–0.38 segment (40% of the scale). Within the range, copies with a lower float look cleaner and are valued higher.
Origin of the skin
The skin’s collection is The Fever Collection with 17 skins in total.
It drops from Fever Case.
What it costs in each quality
Among 11 skins of the Desert Eagle in the Restricted grade and this quality, this skin ranks 7th by price, counting from the dearest.
Souvenir version
This is the Souvenir version: such copies dropped to tournament viewers in souvenir packages; the team stickers and signatures on them cannot be removed or chosen. Souvenir items never carry StatTrak™. There is also the regular version without tournament stickers.
Stickers and crafts
Red, orange, gold and black stickers sit well on the warm scales without breaking the colour scheme. Placing them on the side of the slide away from the zigzag line keeps the snake motif readable. Cold blues and greens contrast sharply and suit only deliberately bold crafts.
What to look at before you buy
- Check where the float sits within the wear grade, since a low value in Field-Tested or Well-Worn noticeably reduces metal on the slide edges.
- Inspect the muzzle end and the top of the slide, as these lose paint first on this finish.
- Look at the serpent on the grip panel to see how much of its outline is still intact.
- Check stickers and name tag, since they change how the slide reads and may not suit every buyer.
Who the Field-Tested quality suits
- Players who want the warm snakeskin in hand and do not mind edge scratches.
- Buyers looking for a balanced entry where the pattern still reads clearly.
- Conclusion: a practical everyday option for this Desert Eagle.
