Skin overview

Cartel is a patina-style finish, and in Field-Tested it starts to look like a well-used heirloom rather than a showroom piece. The bronze engraving darkens slightly and the steel picks up visible marks, which suits the old-world ornamental theme. It is a natural middle ground for players who want the engraved look without paying for pristine metal.

Item type: pistol. Mil-Spec Grade is the lowest rarity found in cases and the most common one among them.

Patina: an aged metal surface; wear is part of the design, so the gap between qualities is less visible.

The remaining qualities of this skin: Factory New, Minimal Wear, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred. The same quality also exists as the StatTrak™ version.

Appearance in Field-Tested

The slides and barrels are finished in light polished steel, while the frames are covered in bronze-toned metal with dense ornamental engraving and a fine checkered texture at the front. The grips are a pale bone or ivory colour with a round engraved medallion in the centre.

The slide edges and muzzles show clear dulling and light scratches, and the steel no longer reads as polished. The raised parts of the bronze frames start to tarnish, and the grips take on a slightly darker tone. In game the pistols look used but well kept, and the engraving is still readable. The recessed engraving and the centre of the grips stay relatively clean.

Field-Tested quality — float range 0.15–0.38

The whole float range of Souvenir Dual Berettas | Cartel is 0–1; Field-Tested takes the 0.15–0.38 segment (23% of the scale). The lower the float within the range, the cleaner the surface looks and the higher a copy is usually priced.

Origin of the skin

Souvenir Dual Berettas | Cartel belongs to The Wildfire Collection, which holds 16 skins.

It drops from Operation Wildfire Case.

Souvenir version

This is the Souvenir version: such copies dropped to tournament viewers in souvenir packages; the team stickers and signatures on them cannot be removed or chosen. Souvenir items never carry StatTrak™. There is also the regular version without tournament stickers.

Stickers and crafts

Gold, bronze and brown stickers blend with the engraved frames, while black or cream tones sit well against the steel and pale grips. Ornate or vintage-style designs match the engraved theme better than bright neon ones. Placing stickers on the plain steel slides keeps the engraved frames visible.

What to check before buying

  • Look at where the float sits within the wear range, since the slide edges and muzzles change noticeably between low and high floats of the same grade.
  • Check the inspect view for how much the bronze engraving has darkened, as this defines the character of the skin.
  • Look at the grips, because their pale colour shows darkening clearly on more worn copies.
  • Check any applied stickers and name tag, since they change the overall look of the ornate finish.

Who should buy Field-Tested

  • Players who like the aged patina look that suits the ornate engraving.
  • Buyers who want readable engraving at a moderate cost.
  • Conclusion: the most natural everyday choice for this skin.
