Show allAllSkin overview
Battle-Scarred is the roughest version of an already distressed finish. Much of the red is gone from the edges, handle and magazine, leaving gunmetal with patches of colour and faded white marks. Some buyers prefer it because it takes the survivor theme further than the clean grades.
Item type: rifle. The weapon is available only on the Counter-Terrorist side. Mil-Spec Grade is the lowest rarity found in cases and the most common one among them.
Custom Paint Job: hand-painted across the whole body; this is the type where wear shows most, the artwork rubs down to metal.
The remaining qualities of this skin: Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested and Well-Worn. The same quality also exists as the StatTrak™ version.
Appearance in Battle-Scarred
The receiver and carry handle are covered in a dark grey, metallic base with irregular red stencil blocks and thin scratch lines across them. The rear of the stock carries the most visible detail, a set of white slash marks over red and grey patches.
Most of the red is gone from the edges, the handle, the magazine and the grip, leaving bare gunmetal. The stock keeps only faint traces of the white marks and patches of colour. The receiver sides hold the last larger red areas. In game it reads as a dark, heavily scuffed rifle with scattered red.
Battle-Scarred wear: float 0.45–0.6
The float of Souvenir FAMAS | Survivor Z ranges from 0 to 0.6; the Battle-Scarred quality covers 0.45–0.6 — 25% of this skin’s scale. Within the range, copies with a lower float look cleaner and are valued higher.
Where the skin comes from: collection and case
The skin’s collection is The Shadow Collection with 16 skins in total.
The source is Shadow Case (on sale since Sep 15, 2015).
Souvenir version
This is the Souvenir version: such copies dropped to tournament viewers in souvenir packages; the team stickers and signatures on them cannot be removed or chosen. Souvenir items never carry StatTrak™. There is also the regular version without tournament stickers.
Which stickers suit it
Red, white, black and grey stickers match the stencil scheme, especially with a worn or paper look. Placements on the receiver side work best, where the dark base leaves room between the red blocks.
What to look at before you buy
- Check the float position within the wear, because a low float in Field-Tested looks noticeably cleaner than a high one.
- Look at the carry handle edges and the magazine base, which lose red paint first.
- Remember that the scratches are painted into the design, so do not mistake them for wear when comparing copies.
- Check applied stickers and the name tag, since they change how the stock and receiver read.
Who the Battle-Scarred quality suits
- Players who want the most rugged take on the survivor theme.
- The cheapest way to put this skin in the loadout.
- Conclusion: for fans of heavy wear, not for those who want bright red.
