Show allAllSkin overview
In Battle-Scarred the G3SG1 | Stinger keeps its grey and yellow scheme only in outline: much of the yellow is worn through and bare metal shows on edges and raised parts. The dark body looks patchy and weathered. It suits those who like a heavily used rifle or want the skin at the most accessible grade.
Item type: sniper rifle. The weapon is available only on the Terrorist side. Restricted sits in the middle of the rarity scale: noticeably rarer than Mil-Spec, yet not truly rare.
Gunsmith: several techniques combined on one item; some parts rub off, others only dull.
The remaining qualities of this skin: Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested and Well-Worn. The same quality also exists as the StatTrak™ version.
Appearance in Battle-Scarred
The receiver and handguard are covered in dark grey and black with lighter grey angular panels, cut through by thin yellow stripes along the edges. The barrel stays plain grey metal, while the muzzle, front sight ring and both ends of the glossy black scope are capped with bright yellow rings.
Much of the yellow on the magazine, grip and scope is worn away, leaving bare metal patches. The receiver, handguard and stock show broad scratches over the dark finish. From first person the yellow survives mainly as fragments, while the flatter surfaces of the stock hold paint best.
Battle-Scarred wear: float 0.45–0.7
The float of Souvenir G3SG1 | Stinger ranges from 0 to 0.7; the Battle-Scarred quality covers 0.45–0.7 — 36% of this skin’s scale. The lower the float within the range, the cleaner the surface looks and the higher a copy is usually priced.
Where the skin comes from: collection and case
Souvenir G3SG1 | Stinger belongs to The Glove Collection, which holds 17 skins.
It drops from Glove Case.
Souvenir version
This is the Souvenir version: such copies dropped to tournament viewers in souvenir packages; the team stickers and signatures on them cannot be removed or chosen. Souvenir items never carry StatTrak™. There is also the regular version without tournament stickers.
Which stickers suit it
Yellow, black and grey stickers or holo and gold variants support the wasp-like scheme without breaking it. The dark receiver area is the most effective spot, where yellow accents frame the sticker. Strong reds or blues tend to compete with the yellow highlights.
What to check before buying
- Check the float position within the wear grade, since the yellow edges on the magazine and grip show the difference first.
- Look at the scope rings and muzzle in the inspect view, as they chip early and are visible from first person.
- Decide whether you want the StatTrak™ version, which adds a kill counter to the rifle.
- Review applied stickers and any name tag to make sure they fit the yellow and grey scheme.
Who should buy Battle-Scarred
- Players looking for the most accessible entry to this skin.
- Fans of heavily weathered finishes with bare metal showing.
- The pick for a rugged look at the lowest grade.
