Show allAllSkin overview
The Stinger look comes from a wasp-like contrast: a muted grey and black body marked with yellow rings and stripes. In Minimal Wear that contrast is practically intact, with only faint marks on edges that are hard to spot in game. It is a sensible way to get a near-pristine look at a less demanding grade.
Item type: sniper rifle. The weapon is available only on the Terrorist side. Restricted sits in the middle of the rarity scale: noticeably rarer than Mil-Spec, yet not truly rare.
Gunsmith: several techniques combined on one item; some parts rub off, others only dull.
Other qualities of this skin: Factory New, Field-Tested, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred. The same quality also exists as the StatTrak™ version.
Appearance in Minimal Wear
The receiver and handguard are covered in dark grey and black with lighter grey angular panels, cut through by thin yellow stripes along the edges. The barrel stays plain grey metal, while the muzzle, front sight ring and both ends of the glossy black scope are capped with bright yellow rings.
Small specks may appear on the edges of the magazine base and the yellow rings on the scope. The handguard and receiver stay clean. At normal distance the difference from Factory New is barely noticeable, and the contrast reads the same.
Minimal Wear quality — float range 0.07–0.15
The whole float range of Souvenir G3SG1 | Stinger is 0–0.7; Minimal Wear takes the 0.07–0.15 segment (11% of the scale). The lower the float within the range, the cleaner the surface looks and the higher a copy is usually priced.
Origin of the skin
The skin’s collection is The Glove Collection with 17 skins in total.
The source is Glove Case.
Souvenir version
This is the Souvenir version: such copies dropped to tournament viewers in souvenir packages; the team stickers and signatures on them cannot be removed or chosen. Souvenir items never carry StatTrak™. There is also the regular version without tournament stickers.
Stickers and crafts
Yellow, black and grey stickers or holo and gold variants support the wasp-like scheme without breaking it. The dark receiver area is the most effective spot, where yellow accents frame the sticker. Strong reds or blues tend to compete with the yellow highlights.
What to check before buying
- Check the float position within the wear grade, since the yellow edges on the magazine and grip show the difference first.
- Look at the scope rings and muzzle in the inspect view, as they chip early and are visible from first person.
- Decide whether you want the StatTrak™ version, which adds a kill counter to the rifle.
- Review applied stickers and any name tag to make sure they fit the yellow and grey scheme.
Who should buy Minimal Wear
- Players who want a near-clean look without paying for the top grade.
- Crafters fine with barely visible edge marks.
- A balanced option close to Factory New in game.
