Skin overview

This G3SG1 skin is built around yellow highlights on a dark, angular grey body. In Field-Tested the yellow parts begin to show scuffs at the edges, while the overall colour scheme stays readable from the usual first-person view. The finish keeps its character even with visible use.

Item type: sniper rifle. The weapon is available only on the Terrorist side. Restricted sits in the middle of the rarity scale: noticeably rarer than Mil-Spec, yet not truly rare.

Gunsmith: several techniques combined on one item; some parts rub off, others only dull.

Other qualities of this skin: Factory New, Minimal Wear, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred. The same quality also exists as the StatTrak™ version.

How the skin looks in Field-Tested

The receiver and handguard are covered in dark grey and black with lighter grey angular panels, cut through by thin yellow stripes along the edges. The barrel stays plain grey metal, while the muzzle, front sight ring and both ends of the glossy black scope are capped with bright yellow rings.

Scuffs become visible on the yellow tip of the magazine, the grip base and the edges of the handguard stripes. The scope rings and muzzle show light chipping. The dark panels still look mostly solid, and in game the scheme remains clear with some roughness up close.

Field-Tested quality — float range 0.15–0.38

The whole float range of Souvenir G3SG1 | Stinger is 0–0.7; Field-Tested takes the 0.15–0.38 segment (33% of the scale). The lower the float within the range, the cleaner the surface looks and the higher a copy is usually priced.

Origin of the skin

The skin’s collection is The Glove Collection with 17 skins in total.

It drops from Glove Case.

Souvenir version

This is the Souvenir version: such copies dropped to tournament viewers in souvenir packages; the team stickers and signatures on them cannot be removed or chosen. Souvenir items never carry StatTrak™. There is also the regular version without tournament stickers.

Stickers and crafts

Yellow, black and grey stickers or holo and gold variants support the wasp-like scheme without breaking it. The dark receiver area is the most effective spot, where yellow accents frame the sticker. Strong reds or blues tend to compete with the yellow highlights.

What to check before buying

  • Check the float position within the wear grade, since the yellow edges on the magazine and grip show the difference first.
  • Look at the scope rings and muzzle in the inspect view, as they chip early and are visible from first person.
  • Decide whether you want the StatTrak™ version, which adds a kill counter to the rifle.
  • Review applied stickers and any name tag to make sure they fit the yellow and grey scheme.

Who the Field-Tested quality suits

  • Players who want the full colour scheme at a moderate grade.
  • Those who use the G3SG1 regularly and accept light scuffs.
  • A practical middle ground for everyday play.
