Skin overview

The M249 | Humidor ornament of vines and flowers is designed in muted browns and purples, so it tolerates wear better than bright finishes. In Well-Worn the paint is rubbed through on edges and raised parts, and the darker metal shows in more places. The skin keeps its antique, aged character, which suits the name.

Item type: machinegun. Mil-Spec Grade is the lowest rarity found in cases and the most common one among them.

Spray-Paint: paint sprayed over the metal; scratches and scuffs appear early but look natural.

How the skin looks in Well-Worn

The receiver, handguard and the large ammo box are covered in a copper-brown base with a tan vine and flower ornament outlined in dark plum. The pattern continues onto the stock and grip, so almost the entire weapon carries the same dense floral motif.

Paint is rubbed off along all edges of the receiver, the ammo box and the stock, and the muzzle and sights are largely bare. Scratches spread from the edges onto the sides, breaking up parts of the ornament. The centre of the ammo box and receiver sides still show the vines and flowers. In game the weapon looks darker and patchier, though the floral motif is still readable.

Well-Worn wear: float 0.38–0.45

The whole float range of Souvenir M249 | Humidor is 0–0.5; Well-Worn takes the 0.38–0.45 segment (14% of the scale). The lower the float within the range, the cleaner the surface looks and the higher a copy is usually priced.

Which stickers suit it

Stickers in gold, copper, brown or deep purple blend well with the floral ornament. Holo or gold stickers stand out best on the flat sides of the receiver and the ammo box. Bright neon colours tend to clash with the muted palette.
