Show allAllSkin overview
This grade keeps the look of a clean engraved rifle: dark metal, a basilisk on the receiver and a textured silencer. Marks at this grade are faint and sit on the edges, so the finish reads almost the same as a Factory New copy. It is a way to get a near-clean Basilisk without paying for the top grade.
Item type: rifle. The weapon is available only on the Counter-Terrorist side. Restricted sits in the middle of the rarity scale: noticeably rarer than Mil-Spec, yet not truly rare.
Patina: an aged metal surface; wear is part of the design, so the gap between qualities is less visible.
Other qualities of this skin: Factory New, Field-Tested, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred. The same quality also exists as the StatTrak™ version.
How the skin looks in Minimal Wear
The whole rifle is finished in dark gunmetal with a slight olive tint. The receiver carries an engraved basilisk drawn in fine light-grey lines, and the ribbed handguard has a matching scale-like etching.
Light marks may appear on the receiver edges and the tip of the silencer. The engraving and the handguard etching remain sharp. At normal distance in game the rifle is hard to tell apart from Factory New.
Minimal Wear quality — float range 0.07–0.15
The whole float range of Souvenir M4A1-S | Basilisk is 0–0.68; Minimal Wear takes the 0.07–0.15 segment (12% of the scale). The lower the float within the range, the cleaner the surface looks and the higher a copy is usually priced.
Origin of the skin
Souvenir M4A1-S | Basilisk belongs to The Vanguard Collection, which holds 14 skins.
It drops from Operation Vanguard Weapon Case (on sale since Nov 5, 2014).
What it costs in each quality
By price this skin is 6th of 10 skins Restricted M4A1-S in this quality (the first being the dearest).
Souvenir version
This is the Souvenir version: such copies dropped to tournament viewers in souvenir packages; the team stickers and signatures on them cannot be removed or chosen. Souvenir items never carry StatTrak™. There is also the regular version without tournament stickers.
Stickers and crafts
Dark, metallic and holographic stickers in silver, gold or olive tones match the gunmetal finish. Placing them on the receiver near the engraving or along the handguard keeps the basilisk as the focus, while a single bright accent stands out well against the dark base.
What to check before buying
- Check where the float sits within the wear range, since copies near the cleaner edge of a grade keep more contrast in the engraving.
- Inspect the receiver to see how clearly the basilisk engraving reads on this copy.
- Look at the carry handle, receiver edges and silencer tip, as these parts lose tone first.
- Check for applied stickers or a name tag and decide whether they suit you.
Who should buy Minimal Wear
- Players who want a near-clean look for less than the top grade.
- Crafters who accept faint edge marks under stickers.
- A sensible compromise between condition and cost.
