Show allAllSkin overview
Battle-Scarred Flashback is the most weathered take on this hand-painted design, with large areas of the olive coat gone from the silencer and edges. Fragments of the handwriting and the peace sign survive on flatter surfaces, giving the rifle a salvaged, worn-out character. It is the cheapest entry into the skin and has a look of its own.
Item type: rifle. The weapon is available only on the Counter-Terrorist side. Restricted sits in the middle of the rarity scale: noticeably rarer than Mil-Spec, yet not truly rare.
Custom Paint Job: hand-painted across the whole body; this is the type where wear shows most, the artwork rubs down to metal.
Other qualities of this skin: Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested and Well-Worn. The same quality also exists as the StatTrak™ version.
Appearance in Battle-Scarred
The whole rifle is painted a dull olive drab with darker brownish shading that gives it a dirty, hand-finished feel. The long silencer carries a large handwritten word in pale paint, and the receiver side shows a line of scribbled lettering near the ejection area.
Large patches of olive paint are gone from the silencer, the muzzle, the magazine and all raised edges. The handwriting survives only in fragments, and the silencer lettering may be largely lost. In game the rifle looks scraped and patchy with metal showing through. Only the flatter parts of the receiver and stock keep the base colour reasonably well.
Battle-Scarred wear: float 0.45–1
The whole float range of Souvenir M4A1-S | Flashback is 0–1; Battle-Scarred takes the 0.45–1 segment (55% of the scale). The lower the float within the range, the cleaner the surface looks and the higher a copy is usually priced.
Origin of the skin
The skin’s collection is The Glove Collection with 17 skins in total.
It drops from Glove Case.
Souvenir version
This is the Souvenir version: such copies dropped to tournament viewers in souvenir packages; the team stickers and signatures on them cannot be removed or chosen. Souvenir items never carry StatTrak™. There is also the regular version without tournament stickers.
Which stickers suit it
Muted stickers in olive, khaki, brown or off-white match the field paint and handwritten style best. Placing them on the receiver side away from the existing lettering keeps the graffiti readable, while bright neon stickers tend to clash with the dull palette.
What to check before buying
- Check where the float sits within the wear range, as the silencer lettering degrades first and it is the most visible part in first person.
- Look at the peace symbol and the magazine markings on the inspect screen to make sure they are still readable on worn copies.
- Check applied stickers and any name tag, since they change the look of an already busy design.
- Look at the carry handle, front sight and magazine edges, where the paint breaks up first.
Who the Battle-Scarred quality suits
- Budget entry for players who simply want this skin on their M4A1-S.
- Fans of patchy, scraped finishes with metal showing through.
- Conclusion: the most affordable copy, with a salvaged look of its own.
