Skin overview

M4A1-S | Flashback is an olive drab rifle covered in hand-scrawled pale inscriptions, with a peace symbol on the magazine well and a lettered word on the silencer. In Factory New the field paint is even and the white scribbles stay crisp, so every line of the handwriting reads cleanly. The intended grime comes only from the artwork itself, not from wear.

Item type: rifle. The weapon is available only on the Counter-Terrorist side. Restricted sits in the middle of the rarity scale: noticeably rarer than Mil-Spec, yet not truly rare.

Custom Paint Job: hand-painted across the whole body; this is the type where wear shows most, the artwork rubs down to metal.

Other qualities of this skin: Minimal Wear, Field-Tested, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred. The same quality also exists as the StatTrak™ version.

How the skin looks in Factory New

The whole rifle is painted a dull olive drab with darker brownish shading that gives it a dirty, hand-finished feel. The long silencer carries a large handwritten word in pale paint, and the receiver side shows a line of scribbled lettering near the ejection area.

The olive coat is complete on every part, including the silencer and the magazine edges. All inscriptions, the peace symbol and the thin scratch lines are sharp. In game the white lettering on the silencer stands out clearly against the green. Any dirty look comes purely from the painted artwork.

Factory New wear: float 0–0.07

The whole float range of Souvenir M4A1-S | Flashback is 0–1; Factory New takes the 0–0.07 segment (7% of the scale). The lower the float within the range, the cleaner the surface looks and the higher a copy is usually priced.

Origin of the skin

The skin’s collection is The Glove Collection with 17 skins in total.

The source is Glove Case.

Souvenir version

This is the Souvenir version: such copies dropped to tournament viewers in souvenir packages; the team stickers and signatures on them cannot be removed or chosen. Souvenir items never carry StatTrak™. There is also the regular version without tournament stickers.

Which stickers suit it

Muted stickers in olive, khaki, brown or off-white match the field paint and handwritten style best. Placing them on the receiver side away from the existing lettering keeps the graffiti readable, while bright neon stickers tend to clash with the dull palette.

What to check before buying

  • Check where the float sits within the wear range, as the silencer lettering degrades first and it is the most visible part in first person.
  • Look at the peace symbol and the magazine markings on the inspect screen to make sure they are still readable on worn copies.
  • Check applied stickers and any name tag, since they change the look of an already busy design.
  • Look at the carry handle, front sight and magazine edges, where the paint breaks up first.

Who should buy Factory New

  • Collectors who want every handwritten line and the peace symbol perfectly clean.
  • Players who like the bright white silencer lettering in first person.
  • Conclusion: the reference version for those who want the artwork exactly as painted.
