Skin overview

This is a dark, stained M4A1-S finish where red blotches and scribbles sit on a near-black base. In Battle-Scarred bare metal breaks through on the edges and the writing becomes fragmented, which suits the restless, worn idea of the skin and gives a grim, used look at the lowest entry point into the design.

How the skin looks in Battle-Scarred

The finish puts a dark maroon base over the whole rifle, sinking toward near-black in the shadows, with brighter red patches across the receiver, stock and magazine. Scrawled writing and loose marks run over the surface and are most visible on the magazine, where pale tan lines stand out against the deep red.

Heavy chipping covers the silencer, the receiver edges, the handguard and the magazine, with grey metal showing in larger patches. The scrawls on the magazine are broken into fragments and the red areas are reduced in many places. Because the base is so dark, the rifle reads as grim and used rather than washed out, and the stock keeps the most colour of any part.
