The skin is built on dark burgundy and black, with red patches and handwritten marks spread over the receiver, stock and magazine. In Field-Tested the scratches start to join the scrawled theme, so light wear on the silencer and edges looks more like part of the worn-out, sleepless mood than damage.

How the skin looks in Field-Tested

The finish puts a dark maroon base over the whole rifle, sinking toward near-black in the shadows, with brighter red patches across the receiver, stock and magazine. Scrawled writing and loose marks run over the surface and are most visible on the magazine, where pale tan lines stand out against the deep red.

Scratches become visible on the silencer, the top edge of the receiver and the lower part of the magazine, with some lines of the writing losing sharpness. The handguard ridges begin to show light rubbing. The dark base hides much of this, so at normal distance the rifle still reads as a coherent red-and-black piece, and the stock and sides of the receiver stay mostly clean.
