Show allAllSkin overview
M4A4 | Desert-Strike is a high-tech custom paint job in tan and black, with sand-coloured panels set against a dark graphite base. In Factory New the tan areas keep their full warm tone and the borders between light and dark sections stay sharp. This is the cleanest version of the design.
Item type: rifle. The weapon is available only on the Counter-Terrorist side. Covert is the top weapon rarity: usually the most prominent items of a collection or case.
Custom Paint Job: hand-painted across the whole body; this is the type where wear shows most, the artwork rubs down to metal.
Other qualities of this skin: Minimal Wear, Field-Tested, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred. The same quality also exists as the StatTrak™ version.
How the skin looks in Factory New
The base of the rifle is dark graphite and black, with tan used as the accent colour. The ribbed handguard is largely sand-coloured with dark breaks, and the barrel carries a tan section near the front sight.
All tan panels are intact and keep a uniform warm colour. Edges of the handguard ribs, magazine and stock show no scratches. In game the contrast between sand and black is at its sharpest. Everything on the rifle looks clean.
Factory New quality — float range 0–0.07
The whole float range of Souvenir M4A4 | Desert-Strike is 0–0.7; Factory New takes the 0–0.07 segment (10% of the scale). The lower the float within the range, the cleaner the surface looks and the higher a copy is usually priced.
Origin of the skin
Souvenir M4A4 | Desert-Strike belongs to The Huntsman Collection, which holds 20 skins.
It drops from Huntsman Weapon Case (on sale since Jun 11, 2014).
Souvenir version
This is the Souvenir version: such copies dropped to tournament viewers in souvenir packages; the team stickers and signatures on them cannot be removed or chosen. Souvenir items never carry StatTrak™. There is also the regular version without tournament stickers.
Stickers and crafts
Stickers in tan, gold, brown or black blend with the desert palette of the finish. Placing them on the dark receiver gives better contrast than on the busy handguard.
What to check before buying
- Check where the float sits within the wear range, since copies near the top of a grade look noticeably cleaner.
- Inspect the handguard ribs and magazine edges, as the tan paint wears there first.
- Look at the grip and stock to see how much of the larger tan areas remains.
- Check applied stickers and the name tag, since they change how the rifle looks and may not suit every buyer.
Who the Factory New quality suits
- Collectors who want the design with full colour contrast and clean edges.
- Players planning a careful sticker craft on an untouched base.
- The choice for those who value the cleanest look of the skin.
