Show allAllSkin overview
The rifle pairs a dark body with tan inserts on the handguard, magazine, grip and stock, which gives it a desert-operator look. Minimal Wear keeps the colour contrast almost unchanged, and any scuffs are small and sit on the edges. In normal play it is hard to tell apart from Factory New.
Item type: rifle. The weapon is available only on the Counter-Terrorist side. Covert is the top weapon rarity: usually the most prominent items of a collection or case.
Custom Paint Job: hand-painted across the whole body; this is the type where wear shows most, the artwork rubs down to metal.
The remaining qualities of this skin: Factory New, Field-Tested, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred. The same quality also exists as the StatTrak™ version.
Appearance in Minimal Wear
The base of the rifle is dark graphite and black, with tan used as the accent colour. The ribbed handguard is largely sand-coloured with dark breaks, and the barrel carries a tan section near the front sight.
Light scuffs may appear on the tips of the handguard ribs and the lower edge of the magazine. They are small and usually visible only when inspecting the rifle up close. At normal distance the finish reads the same as Factory New. The grip, stock and receiver look clean.
Minimal Wear quality — float range 0.07–0.15
The whole float range of Souvenir M4A4 | Desert-Strike is 0–0.7; Minimal Wear takes the 0.07–0.15 segment (11% of the scale). Within the range, copies with a lower float look cleaner and are valued higher.
Origin of the skin
Souvenir M4A4 | Desert-Strike belongs to The Huntsman Collection, which holds 20 skins.
The source is Huntsman Weapon Case (on sale since Jun 11, 2014).
Souvenir version
This is the Souvenir version: such copies dropped to tournament viewers in souvenir packages; the team stickers and signatures on them cannot be removed or chosen. Souvenir items never carry StatTrak™. There is also the regular version without tournament stickers.
Stickers and crafts
Stickers in tan, gold, brown or black blend with the desert palette of the finish. Placing them on the dark receiver gives better contrast than on the busy handguard.
What to look at before you buy
- Check where the float sits within the wear range, since copies near the top of a grade look noticeably cleaner.
- Inspect the handguard ribs and magazine edges, as the tan paint wears there first.
- Look at the grip and stock to see how much of the larger tan areas remains.
- Check applied stickers and the name tag, since they change how the rifle looks and may not suit every buyer.
Who the Minimal Wear quality suits
- Players who want a near-clean look without paying for the top grade.
- Sticker crafters, since the light scuffs stay on the edges.
- A sensible balance between appearance and cost.
