Skin overview

M4A4 | Howl is a Contraband rifle skin built around a snarling orange-red wolf head on the side of the receiver, set against a charcoal body covered in red streaks. In Factory New the wolf keeps every line of its fur and bared teeth, and the red accents stay saturated from muzzle to stock. This is the condition in which the artwork reads exactly as painted.

Item type: rifle. The weapon is available only on the Counter-Terrorist side. Contraband is a one-of-a-kind rarity: the item was removed from the game and no new copies appear.

Custom Paint Job: hand-painted across the whole body; this is the type where wear shows most, the artwork rubs down to metal.

The same quality also exists as the StatTrak™ version.

How the skin looks in Factory New

The rifle has a dark charcoal base covered with sweeping red strokes that run along the handguard, the magazine and the stock like streaks of flame. The section of the barrel just ahead of the handguard is painted solid red, and the pistol grip is red with darker markings.

The paint is complete on every part, with no visible marks on the magazine, handguard or stock. The wolf's fur strokes, eyes and teeth are sharp and evenly coloured. In game the red streaks look bright and uniform against the dark base. Everything on the rifle reads clean.

Factory New quality — float range 0–0.07

The whole float range of Souvenir M4A4 | Howl is 0–0.4; Factory New takes the 0–0.07 segment (18% of the scale). Within the range, copies with a lower float look cleaner and are valued higher.

Souvenir version

This is the Souvenir version: such copies dropped to tournament viewers in souvenir packages; the team stickers and signatures on them cannot be removed or chosen. Souvenir items never carry StatTrak™. There is also the regular version without tournament stickers.

Stickers and crafts

Red, orange, gold and black stickers match the flame palette and the dark base. Placements on the handguard or near the stock suit the design best, as they leave the wolf head on the receiver uncovered.
