Show allAllSkin overview
This M4A4 is recognisable at a glance by its red-and-charcoal palette and the snarling wolf painted on the receiver. In Field-Tested the edges of the magazine, handguard and stock show clear scuffs, and the dark base starts to break through the red. The wolf head is still easy to read, which keeps the skin's identity in place despite the visible use.
Item type: rifle. The weapon is available only on the Counter-Terrorist side. Contraband is a one-of-a-kind rarity: the item was removed from the game and no new copies appear.
Custom Paint Job: hand-painted across the whole body; this is the type where wear shows most, the artwork rubs down to metal.
The same quality also exists as the StatTrak™ version.
Appearance in Field-Tested
The rifle has a dark charcoal base covered with sweeping red strokes that run along the handguard, the magazine and the stock like streaks of flame. The section of the barrel just ahead of the handguard is painted solid red, and the pistol grip is red with darker markings.
Scratches are clearly visible along the magazine edges, the handguard rails, the muzzle and the stock, where the red strokes break up and show the base beneath. Light scuffs can start to touch the edges of the wolf head, though its face stays readable. In game the rifle still looks red and dark, with a slightly used texture. The receiver centre and the grip generally hold up better than the edges.
Field-Tested wear: float 0.15–0.38
The whole float range of Souvenir M4A4 | Howl is 0–0.4; Field-Tested takes the 0.15–0.38 segment (57% of the scale). Within the range, copies with a lower float look cleaner and are valued higher.

Souvenir version
This is the Souvenir version: such copies dropped to tournament viewers in souvenir packages; the team stickers and signatures on them cannot be removed or chosen. Souvenir items never carry StatTrak™. There is also the regular version without tournament stickers.
Which stickers suit it
Red, orange, gold and black stickers match the flame palette and the dark base. Placements on the handguard or near the stock suit the design best, as they leave the wolf head on the receiver uncovered.
What to look at before you buy
- Look at the float within the chosen wear, since a low float keeps the edges and the wolf noticeably cleaner.
- Inspect the wolf head on the receiver closely in worn grades, as it is the part that defines the skin.
- Check the magazine edges, muzzle and stock corners, which lose paint first.
- Review any applied stickers and name tag, because they stay on the item and affect how the rifle looks.
Who the Field-Tested quality suits
- Players who want Howl for everyday matches.
- Buyers looking for a lower-float copy with a readable wolf.
