Show allAllSkin overview
Howl pairs a dark gunmetal base with flame-like red strokes and a fiery wolf head that faces the player from the receiver. At Minimal Wear the difference from a pristine copy comes down to small marks on outer edges, while the wolf and the red pattern look intact at normal viewing distance. It is a way to own the full artwork with only minor compromises on the details.
Item type: rifle. The weapon is available only on the Counter-Terrorist side. Contraband is a one-of-a-kind rarity: the item was removed from the game and no new copies appear.
Custom Paint Job: hand-painted across the whole body; this is the type where wear shows most, the artwork rubs down to metal.
The same quality also exists as the StatTrak™ version.
How the skin looks in Minimal Wear
The rifle has a dark charcoal base covered with sweeping red strokes that run along the handguard, the magazine and the stock like streaks of flame. The section of the barrel just ahead of the handguard is painted solid red, and the pistol grip is red with darker markings.
Tiny scuffs may appear on the bottom edge of the magazine, the muzzle and the corners of the stock. The wolf head on the receiver stays untouched, and the red pattern keeps its full saturation. At normal distance in game it is hard to tell apart from Factory New. Small marks become noticeable only on close inspection.
Minimal Wear wear: float 0.07–0.15
The whole float range of Souvenir M4A4 | Howl is 0–0.4; Minimal Wear takes the 0.07–0.15 segment (20% of the scale). Within the range, copies with a lower float look cleaner and are valued higher.
What it costs in each quality

The comparison uses our cheapest listing of each quality; where there is none, the market reference.
Souvenir version
This is the Souvenir version: such copies dropped to tournament viewers in souvenir packages; the team stickers and signatures on them cannot be removed or chosen. Souvenir items never carry StatTrak™. There is also the regular version without tournament stickers.
Which stickers suit it
Red, orange, gold and black stickers match the flame palette and the dark base. Placements on the handguard or near the stock suit the design best, as they leave the wolf head on the receiver uncovered.
What to look at before you buy
- Look at the float within the chosen wear, since a low float keeps the edges and the wolf noticeably cleaner.
- Inspect the wolf head on the receiver closely in worn grades, as it is the part that defines the skin.
- Check the magazine edges, muzzle and stock corners, which lose paint first.
- Review any applied stickers and name tag, because they stay on the item and affect how the rifle looks.
Who should buy Minimal Wear
- Players who want a near-pristine look without paying for the top grade.
- Sticker crafters who accept small edge marks.
- A balanced pick between appearance and cost.
