Show allAllSkin overview
Howl's look rests on contrast: bright red streaks and an orange wolf head over a dark grey rifle. Well-Worn is the most worn grade this skin can have, with heavy scratching on edges and protruding parts and a wolf that has lost some of its fine detail. The red-on-dark scheme still carries the design, so the skin remains recognisable in any match.
Item type: rifle. The weapon is available only on the Counter-Terrorist side. Contraband is a one-of-a-kind rarity: the item was removed from the game and no new copies appear.
Custom Paint Job: hand-painted across the whole body; this is the type where wear shows most, the artwork rubs down to metal.
The same quality also exists as the StatTrak™ version.
Appearance in Well-Worn
The rifle has a dark charcoal base covered with sweeping red strokes that run along the handguard, the magazine and the stock like streaks of flame. The section of the barrel just ahead of the handguard is painted solid red, and the pistol grip is red with darker markings.
Wear covers most of the magazine, handguard, muzzle and stock, and large patches of the red pattern are broken up. The wolf head shows scratches across the fur and loses some fine detail, though its silhouette and colour remain. In game the rifle looks visibly battered but keeps its red-and-dark scheme. The middle of the receiver is the area that stays most intact.
Well-Worn wear: float 0.38–0.4
The whole float range of Souvenir M4A4 | Howl is 0–0.4; Well-Worn takes the 0.38–0.4 segment (5% of the scale). Within the range, copies with a lower float look cleaner and are valued higher.

Souvenir version
This is the Souvenir version: such copies dropped to tournament viewers in souvenir packages; the team stickers and signatures on them cannot be removed or chosen. Souvenir items never carry StatTrak™. There is also the regular version without tournament stickers.
Which stickers suit it
Red, orange, gold and black stickers match the flame palette and the dark base. Placements on the handguard or near the stock suit the design best, as they leave the wolf head on the receiver uncovered.
What to look at before you buy
- Look at the float within the chosen wear, since a low float keeps the edges and the wolf noticeably cleaner.
- Inspect the wolf head on the receiver closely in worn grades, as it is the part that defines the skin.
- Check the magazine edges, muzzle and stock corners, which lose paint first.
- Review any applied stickers and name tag, because they stay on the item and affect how the rifle looks.
Who should buy Well-Worn
- Budget entry for those who want this Contraband rifle in their inventory.
- Players who prefer a battered, used look.
- The most accessible way to own Howl.
