Souvenir MAG-7 | Cobalt Core (Factory New)

Skin overview

MAG-7 | Cobalt Core is a Mil-Spec shotgun finish for the Counter-Terrorist side, built from angular steel-blue panels crossed by thin cyan lines. In Factory New the turquoise accents stay crisp and bright against the darker base, so the futuristic panel layout reads exactly as designed.

Item type: shotgun. The weapon is available only on the Counter-Terrorist side. Mil-Spec Grade is the lowest rarity found in cases and the most common one among them.

Custom Paint Job: hand-painted across the whole body; this is the type where wear shows most, the artwork rubs down to metal.

The remaining qualities of this skin: Minimal Wear, Field-Tested, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred. The same quality also exists as the StatTrak™ version.

How the skin looks in Factory New

The receiver is covered in angular slate-blue plates with darker blue sections and a fine speckled texture, separated by thin glowing cyan lines. The foregrip continues the same blue panelling with curved turquoise strips, and a cyan ring sits on the muzzle behind the dark gunmetal barrel.

The paint is intact on every part, including the sharp panel edges and the muzzle ring. The cyan lines are fully saturated and the speckled texture on the blue plates is even. In game the turquoise accents stand out clearly against the darker body. Nothing on the receiver, foregrip or magazine shows metal.

Factory New quality — float range 0–0.07

The float of Souvenir MAG-7 | Cobalt Core ranges from 0 to 0.5; the Factory New quality covers 0–0.07 — 14% of this skin’s scale. Within the range, copies with a lower float look cleaner and are valued higher.

Where the skin comes from: collection and case

The skin’s collection is The Shadow Collection with 16 skins in total.

The source is Shadow Case (on sale since Sep 15, 2015).

Price by quality

Among 4 skins of the MAG-7 in the Mil-Spec Grade grade and this quality, this skin is the dearest.

Souvenir version

This is the Souvenir version: such copies dropped to tournament viewers in souvenir packages; the team stickers and signatures on them cannot be removed or chosen. Souvenir items never carry StatTrak™. There is also the regular version without tournament stickers.

Stickers and crafts

Stickers in cyan, teal, white or silver tones match the turquoise lines and the steel-blue base. Holo and foil stickers with a cool palette fit the futuristic style, while warm reds or yellows will clash with the scheme. The flat side of the receiver gives the cleanest placement without covering the cyan accents.

What to look at before you buy

• Check where the float sits within the wear range, since copies at the clean end of a grade keep noticeably more cyan trim.
• Look at the top rail, muzzle ring and magazine bottom, which lose paint first on this finish.
• Check applied stickers and any name tag, as they change how the blue panel design reads.
• Confirm whether you are buying a StatTrak™ or Souvenir copy, since both versions exist for this skin.

Who the Factory New quality suits

• Collectors who want the cyan lines and panel edges fully intact.
• Sticker crafters who need a clean base for a cool-toned set.
• Conclusion: the grade for those who want the design without compromises.
