Souvenir MP5-SD | Gold Leaf (Field-Tested)

Skin overview

This MP5-SD skin uses an earthy camo of green, brown and gold applied over the receiver, magazine and grip. In Field-Tested the patches stay readable, but scratches start to appear along the edges and the gold looks slightly duller. For a field camo the light wear suits the theme rather than spoiling it.

Item type: smg. Mil-Spec Grade is the lowest rarity found in cases and the most common one among them.

Hydrographic: the pattern is applied as a film over the metal; wear rubs it down to the base, starting with raised parts.

The remaining qualities of this skin: Factory New, Minimal Wear, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred.

Appearance in Field-Tested

The receiver, magazine, pistol grip and stock end are covered with irregular camo patches in sage green, olive, rusty brown and gold. The front section of the suppressor carries the same brown and gold camo, while the long ribbed suppressor sleeve stays in a plain grey-green tone.

Scratches become visible on the magazine edges, the muzzle and around the sights on top of the receiver. The gold patches look somewhat muted, but the green and brown layout is intact on the flat surfaces. In game the wear is noticeable when inspecting, less so during play.

Field-Tested quality — float range 0.15–0.38

The whole float range of Souvenir MP5-SD | Gold Leaf is 0–0.6; Field-Tested takes the 0.15–0.38 segment (38% of the scale). Within the range, copies with a lower float look cleaner and are valued higher.

Origin of the skin

Souvenir MP5-SD | Gold Leaf belongs to The Boreal Collection, which holds 29 skins. It does not drop from a case: the collection has none — such skins come from operation drops, souvenir packages or the market.

Souvenir version

This is the Souvenir version: such copies dropped to tournament viewers in souvenir packages; the team stickers and signatures on them cannot be removed or chosen. Souvenir items never carry StatTrak™. There is also the regular version without tournament stickers.

Stickers and crafts

Stickers in gold, olive, brown or muted green blend well with the camo on the receiver. Matte or holographic gold accents echo the gold patches, while bright saturated colours tend to clash with the earthy scheme.

What to look at before you buy

• Check where the float sits within the wear grade, since edges of the magazine and the muzzle show the difference first.
• Look at the magazine and the suppressor front on the inspect screen, as these parts lose the camo earliest.
• The hydrographic camo shifts from copy to copy, so compare the placement of gold patches on the receiver if that matters to you.
• Check applied stickers and a name tag, as they change how the clean receiver area looks.

Who the Field-Tested quality suits

• Players who like a camo that looks lived-in but still readable.
• Buyers looking for a balance between look and cost.
• A sensible middle option for everyday play.
