Show allAllSkin overview
Broken Record relies on contrast: dark vinyl grooves against a gold label and gold trim. In Field-Tested that contrast still works, but the gold has started to rub off at the muzzle, the grip rim and the edges of the label. The worn spots fit the idea of a well-played record rather than spoiling it.
Item type: smg. The weapon is available only on the Counter-Terrorist side. Mil-Spec Grade is the lowest rarity found in cases and the most common one among them.
Gunsmith: several techniques combined on one item; some parts rub off, others only dull.
The remaining qualities of this skin: Factory New, Minimal Wear, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred. The same quality also exists as the StatTrak™ version.
How the skin looks in Field-Tested
The receiver and barrel shroud are dark charcoal, almost black, and covered with fine parallel lines that imitate the grooves of a vinyl record. On the side of the receiver sits a round gold label with a dark letter and small lettering around it, framed by thin gold pinstripes and gold text on the top rail.
The gold on the muzzle ring and the foregrip rim is visibly rubbed, and the label starts to lose gold along its outer edge. Lighter scuffs show on the raised edges of the receiver and the magazine base. In game the dark grooved body and the label still read clearly, and the centre of the receiver stays tidy.
Field-Tested wear: float 0.15–0.38
The whole float range of Souvenir MP9 | Broken Record is 0–1; Field-Tested takes the 0.15–0.38 segment (23% of the scale). The lower the float within the range, the cleaner the surface looks and the higher a copy is usually priced.

Souvenir version
This is the Souvenir version: such copies dropped to tournament viewers in souvenir packages; the team stickers and signatures on them cannot be removed or chosen. Souvenir items never carry StatTrak™. There is also the regular version without tournament stickers.
Which stickers suit it
Gold, holo-gold or black-and-gold stickers continue the record theme and match the label and trim. Placing them along the dark receiver behind the label keeps the gold disc in view, while music-themed or monochrome designs fit the vinyl idea.
What to check before buying
- Inspect the gold label on the receiver, since it carries the theme and loses gold along its edge first.
- Check the muzzle ring and the foregrip rim, because rubbed gold there is the earliest sign of wear.
- Look at where the float sits within its wear range, as copies near the cleaner end keep noticeably more gold.
- Check the stickers and name tag on the copy, since they change the look of the dark receiver.
Who the Field-Tested quality suits
- Players who want the record theme in game and do not mind rubbed gold on the edges.
- Buyers who like the worn look as part of the vinyl idea.
- Conclusion: the theme still reads well at a sensible price level.
