Show allAllSkin overview
The skin pairs a dark grooved finish with gold accents, so the whole MP9 reads like a record in its sleeve. Minimal Wear keeps that look almost untouched, and any marks sit on the edges, where you have to look closely to find them. It is a sensible way to get a practically clean copy without paying for the top grade.
Item type: smg. The weapon is available only on the Counter-Terrorist side. Mil-Spec Grade is the lowest rarity found in cases and the most common one among them.
Gunsmith: several techniques combined on one item; some parts rub off, others only dull.
The remaining qualities of this skin: Factory New, Field-Tested, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred. The same quality also exists as the StatTrak™ version.
Appearance in Minimal Wear
The receiver and barrel shroud are dark charcoal, almost black, and covered with fine parallel lines that imitate the grooves of a vinyl record. On the side of the receiver sits a round gold label with a dark letter and small lettering around it, framed by thin gold pinstripes and gold text on the top rail.
Tiny marks may appear on the muzzle ring and the edges of the receiver, usually only visible on inspect. The label and pinstripes stay intact and bright. At normal distance in game it is hard to tell apart from Factory New.
Minimal Wear wear: float 0.07–0.15
The whole float range of Souvenir MP9 | Broken Record is 0–1; Minimal Wear takes the 0.07–0.15 segment (8% of the scale). The lower the float within the range, the cleaner the surface looks and the higher a copy is usually priced.
Origin of the skin
Souvenir MP9 | Broken Record belongs to The Genesis Collection, which holds 17 skins.
It drops from Sealed Genesis Terminal.
What it costs in each quality
Among 8 skins of the MP9 in the Mil-Spec Grade grade and this quality, this skin is the most affordable.
Souvenir version
This is the Souvenir version: such copies dropped to tournament viewers in souvenir packages; the team stickers and signatures on them cannot be removed or chosen. Souvenir items never carry StatTrak™. There is also the regular version without tournament stickers.
Which stickers suit it
Gold, holo-gold or black-and-gold stickers continue the record theme and match the label and trim. Placing them along the dark receiver behind the label keeps the gold disc in view, while music-themed or monochrome designs fit the vinyl idea.
What to check before buying
- Inspect the gold label on the receiver, since it carries the theme and loses gold along its edge first.
- Check the muzzle ring and the foregrip rim, because rubbed gold there is the earliest sign of wear.
- Look at where the float sits within its wear range, as copies near the cleaner end keep noticeably more gold.
- Check the stickers and name tag on the copy, since they change the look of the dark receiver.
Who should buy Minimal Wear
- Players who want a near-perfect look and accept marks only visible on inspect.
- Crafters who need a clean receiver at a lower cost than the top grade.
- Conclusion: the most balanced choice for a clean-looking copy.
