Skin overview

MP9 | Dry Season in Battle-Scarred is the most weathered version of this sandy, dot-stenciled finish. Large areas of paint are gone from the edges, muzzle and grips, leaving the bands and dots patchy against the dark base. It reads as a heavily used desert weapon and is the most affordable way to own the skin.

Item type: smg. The weapon is available only on the Counter-Terrorist side. Consumer Grade is the lowest tier of the rarity scale: the most common skins, most often used in trade-up contracts.

Spray-Paint: paint sprayed over the metal; scratches and scuffs appear early but look natural.

Other qualities of this skin: Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested and Well-Worn.

How the skin looks in Battle-Scarred

The whole MP9 is covered in a sandy tan base with diagonal olive-yellow bands whose ragged borders come from torn tape strips. Over the receiver, the magazine and both grips runs a dense grid of small dark dots sprayed through perforated metal, giving the surface a mesh-like texture.

Battle-Scarred shows heavy chipping across the muzzle, rail, grips and magazine, with wide areas of dark base exposed. The dot pattern survives in fragments, mostly in the middle of the receiver and magazine. In game the skin reads as a dark, patchy desert finish rather than a clean camo. The range of this skin stops short of the most extreme wear, so even the roughest copies keep some of the pattern.

Battle-Scarred wear: float 0.45–0.8

The float of Souvenir MP9 | Dry Season ranges from 0.06 to 0.8; the Battle-Scarred quality covers 0.45–0.8 — 47% of this skin’s scale. The lower the float within the range, the cleaner the surface looks and the higher a copy is usually priced.

Where the skin comes from: collection and case

The skin’s collection is The Alpha Collection with 16 skins in total. It does not drop from a case: the collection has none — such skins come from operation drops, souvenir packages or the market.

Souvenir version

This is the Souvenir version: such copies dropped to tournament viewers in souvenir packages; the team stickers and signatures on them cannot be removed or chosen. Souvenir items never carry StatTrak™. There is also the regular version without tournament stickers.

Which stickers suit it

Stickers in tan, brown, olive or muted gold blend with the desert palette, while a single black or dark green sticker echoes the dot pattern. Placing them on the receiver side keeps the tape bands on the magazine and grips visible.

What to check before buying

  • Check where the float sits within its grade, because chipping on the muzzle and grip ribs grows noticeably toward the worse end.
  • Look at the top rail, receiver edges and magazine base, as these are the first places the paint leaves.
  • For Souvenir copies, check which stickers are applied and how they fit the sandy palette.
  • Note any name tag, since it changes how the item is displayed.

Who should buy Battle-Scarred

  • Budget entry for anyone who wants this skin on the MP9.
  • Players who prefer a dark, patchy look over a clean camo.
  • The cheapest way to own Dry Season, with character to match.
