Skin overview

MP9 | Dry Season is a spray-painted SMG finish in sandy tan with olive-yellow bands and rows of dark dots left by a perforated stencil. In Factory New the dot grid stays crisp and the torn tape edges between the bands look sharp, so the stencil work is easy to read. This is the grade for anyone who wants the pattern exactly as it was sprayed.

Item type: smg. The weapon is available only on the Counter-Terrorist side. Consumer Grade is the lowest tier of the rarity scale: the most common skins, most often used in trade-up contracts.

Spray-Paint: paint sprayed over the metal; scratches and scuffs appear early but look natural.

The remaining qualities of this skin: Minimal Wear, Field-Tested, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred.

How the skin looks in Factory New

The whole MP9 is covered in a sandy tan base with diagonal olive-yellow bands whose ragged borders come from torn tape strips. Over the receiver, the magazine and both grips runs a dense grid of small dark dots sprayed through perforated metal, giving the surface a mesh-like texture.

Factory New copies show the full stencil pattern with no visible chipping. The dots are evenly dark, the tape-strip borders are sharp and the muzzle and top rail keep their paint. In game the finish looks uniform and clean from any normal distance. Because this skin starts from a slightly worn floor, even the best copies are close to the upper part of the Factory New grade.

Factory New wear: float 0.06–0.07

The float of Souvenir MP9 | Dry Season ranges from 0.06 to 0.8; the Factory New quality covers 0.06–0.07 — 1% of this skin’s scale. Within the range, copies with a lower float look cleaner and are valued higher.

Where the skin comes from: collection and case

Souvenir MP9 | Dry Season belongs to The Alpha Collection, which holds 16 skins. It does not drop from a case: the collection has none — such skins come from operation drops, souvenir packages or the market.

Souvenir version

This is the Souvenir version: such copies dropped to tournament viewers in souvenir packages; the team stickers and signatures on them cannot be removed or chosen. Souvenir items never carry StatTrak™. There is also the regular version without tournament stickers.

Which stickers suit it

Stickers in tan, brown, olive or muted gold blend with the desert palette, while a single black or dark green sticker echoes the dot pattern. Placing them on the receiver side keeps the tape bands on the magazine and grips visible.

What to look at before you buy

  • Check where the float sits within its grade, because chipping on the muzzle and grip ribs grows noticeably toward the worse end.
  • Look at the top rail, receiver edges and magazine base, as these are the first places the paint leaves.
  • For Souvenir copies, check which stickers are applied and how they fit the sandy palette.
  • Note any name tag, since it changes how the item is displayed.

Who should buy Factory New

  • Collectors who want the stencil pattern in its cleanest form.
  • Players building a matching tan or desert-themed loadout.
  • The choice when a crisp dot grid matters more than saving.
