Skin overview

Dry Season is a camouflage-style spray job on the MP9, built from torn tape strips and a perforated metal stencil in tan and olive-yellow. In Field-Tested the paint starts to chip on the muzzle, top rail and grip edges, which suits the improvised, field-painted character of the finish. The dot pattern on the body still reads clearly.

Item type: smg. The weapon is available only on the Counter-Terrorist side. Consumer Grade is the lowest tier of the rarity scale: the most common skins, most often used in trade-up contracts.

Spray-Paint: paint sprayed over the metal; scratches and scuffs appear early but look natural.

Other qualities of this skin: Factory New, Minimal Wear and Battle-Scarred.

How the skin looks in Field-Tested

The whole MP9 is covered in a sandy tan base with diagonal olive-yellow bands whose ragged borders come from torn tape strips. Over the receiver, the magazine and both grips runs a dense grid of small dark dots sprayed through perforated metal, giving the surface a mesh-like texture.

In Field-Tested the paint visibly chips on the muzzle, along the top rail and on the raised ribs of the foregrip and pistol grip. Small patches of dark base start to show at the bottom of the magazine and on the receiver edges. In game the wear is noticeable up close but the tan and yellow camo still dominates. The flat sides of the receiver and magazine keep most of the pattern.

Field-Tested quality — float range 0.15–0.38

The float of Souvenir MP9 | Dry Season ranges from 0.06 to 0.8; the Field-Tested quality covers 0.15–0.38 — 31% of this skin’s scale. The lower the float within the range, the cleaner the surface looks and the higher a copy is usually priced.

Where the skin comes from: collection and case

Souvenir MP9 | Dry Season belongs to The Alpha Collection, which holds 16 skins. It does not drop from a case: the collection has none — such skins come from operation drops, souvenir packages or the market.

Price by quality

Compared with the Field-Tested quality, the others go like this: Well-Worn — 1.5× cheaper. Based on the cheapest SkinOut.gg listing of each quality, otherwise on the market reference.

Among 11 skins of the MP9 in the Consumer Grade grade and this quality, this skin is the dearest.

Souvenir version

This is the Souvenir version: such copies dropped to tournament viewers in souvenir packages; the team stickers and signatures on them cannot be removed or chosen. Souvenir items never carry StatTrak™. There is also the regular version without tournament stickers.

Stickers and crafts

Stickers in tan, brown, olive or muted gold blend with the desert palette, while a single black or dark green sticker echoes the dot pattern. Placing them on the receiver side keeps the tape bands on the magazine and grips visible.

What to check before buying

  • Check where the float sits within its grade, because chipping on the muzzle and grip ribs grows noticeably toward the worse end.
  • Look at the top rail, receiver edges and magazine base, as these are the first places the paint leaves.
  • For Souvenir copies, check which stickers are applied and how they fit the sandy palette.
  • Note any name tag, since it changes how the item is displayed.

Who the Field-Tested quality suits

  • Players who like light chipping that fits the improvised camo theme.
  • Buyers looking for a balanced look at a lower cost.
  • A sensible pick for everyday play.
