Show allAllSkin overview
Battle-Scarred Food Chain turns the clean cartoon artwork into a chipped, weathered version of itself, with large areas of bare surface on edges and raised parts. The colour order from purple to red can still be followed, but the faces and teeth become fragments. It suits buyers who like a used, rough look on a loud design.
Item type: smg. The weapon is available only on the Counter-Terrorist side. Classified is the second-rarest weapon tier, only Covert sits above it.
Custom Paint Job: hand-painted across the whole body; this is the type where wear shows most, the artwork rubs down to metal.
Other qualities of this skin: Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested and Well-Worn. The same quality also exists as the StatTrak™ version.
Appearance in Battle-Scarred
The front of the receiver above the barrel carries a purple and blue creature with dotted details, followed by a green tentacled monster and a yellow-orange one. The rear of the receiver and the area around the magazine well are taken by a large red-orange monster with an open mouth full of teeth.
Large areas of the finish are worn through on the receiver, foregrip, magazine and stock, exposing the dark base. The creatures near the muzzle are reduced to fragments of purple, blue and green. Remains of the red and orange monster are the most readable part. In game the skin reads as a faded, chipped rainbow rather than a detailed monster scene.
Battle-Scarred quality — float range 0.45–1
The whole float range of Souvenir MP9 | Food Chain is 0–1; Battle-Scarred takes the 0.45–1 segment (55% of the scale). The lower the float within the range, the cleaner the surface looks and the higher a copy is usually priced.
Origin of the skin
The skin’s collection is The Snakebite Collection with 17 skins in total.
It drops from Snakebite Case.
Souvenir version
This is the Souvenir version: such copies dropped to tournament viewers in souvenir packages; the team stickers and signatures on them cannot be removed or chosen. Souvenir items never carry StatTrak™. There is also the regular version without tournament stickers.
Stickers and crafts
Bright multicoloured or holographic stickers match the rainbow gradient, while red and orange stickers blend into the rear monster section. Placing stickers on the dark front of the receiver keeps the central monster mouth uncovered.
What to check before buying
- Check where the float sits within the wear range, since wear on this finish moves from dark edges onto the colourful artwork.
- Inspect the thin outlines of the purple and green creatures near the muzzle, as they lose detail first.
- Look at the foregrip corners and the stock arms, which scuff earlier than the receiver.
- Check applied stickers and any name tag, because the busy artwork leaves little neutral space.
Who the Battle-Scarred quality suits
- Players who want the cheapest way to carry Food Chain.
- Fans of heavily weathered finishes who like chipped colour over dark metal.
- A grade for those who value the rough look over clean artwork.
