Skin overview

Food Chain in Field-Tested still reads as a bright, multicoloured MP9 with a red monster mouth full of teeth at its centre. Scuffs appear on the edges of the receiver, the foregrip and the magazine, but the main creatures remain recognisable. It is the grade where the look stays loud while the finish starts to show use.

Item type: smg. The weapon is available only on the Counter-Terrorist side. Classified is the second-rarest weapon tier, only Covert sits above it.

Custom Paint Job: hand-painted across the whole body; this is the type where wear shows most, the artwork rubs down to metal.

Other qualities of this skin: Factory New, Minimal Wear, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred. The same quality also exists as the StatTrak™ version.

Appearance in Field-Tested

The front of the receiver above the barrel carries a purple and blue creature with dotted details, followed by a green tentacled monster and a yellow-orange one. The rear of the receiver and the area around the magazine well are taken by a large red-orange monster with an open mouth full of teeth.

Wear spreads from the muzzle and rail to the edges of the receiver, the corners of the foregrip and the lower part of the magazine. Small scuffs start to cut into the thin linework of the purple and green creatures. The large red monster and the stock keep most of their colour. At normal distance the weapon still looks bright and intact.

Field-Tested wear: float 0.15–0.38

The whole float range of Souvenir MP9 | Food Chain is 0–1; Field-Tested takes the 0.15–0.38 segment (23% of the scale). Within the range, copies with a lower float look cleaner and are valued higher.

Origin of the skin

Souvenir MP9 | Food Chain belongs to The Snakebite Collection, which holds 17 skins.

The source is Snakebite Case.

Souvenir version

This is the Souvenir version: such copies dropped to tournament viewers in souvenir packages; the team stickers and signatures on them cannot be removed or chosen. Souvenir items never carry StatTrak™. There is also the regular version without tournament stickers.

Which stickers suit it

Bright multicoloured or holographic stickers match the rainbow gradient, while red and orange stickers blend into the rear monster section. Placing stickers on the dark front of the receiver keeps the central monster mouth uncovered.

What to look at before you buy

  • Check where the float sits within the wear range, since wear on this finish moves from dark edges onto the colourful artwork.
  • Inspect the thin outlines of the purple and green creatures near the muzzle, as they lose detail first.
  • Look at the foregrip corners and the stock arms, which scuff earlier than the receiver.
  • Check applied stickers and any name tag, because the busy artwork leaves little neutral space.

Who should buy Field-Tested

  • Players who want a bright MP9 for everyday use and accept small scuffs.
  • Buyers who prefer to save money while keeping the main artwork recognisable.
  • A practical choice for regular play.
