MP9 | Food Chain is a Classified custom paint job that covers the SMG with a chain of cartoon monsters, each one about to swallow the next. The colours run from purple and blue at the muzzle through green and yellow to orange and red at the rear. In Factory New the outlines, teeth and small dotted details stay sharp, and the colour transitions look as saturated as on the preview.
Item type: smg. The weapon is available only on the Counter-Terrorist side. Classified is the second-rarest weapon tier, only Covert sits above it.
Custom Paint Job: hand-painted across the whole body; this is the type where wear shows most, the artwork rubs down to metal.
Other qualities of this skin: Minimal Wear, Field-Tested, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred. The same quality also exists as the StatTrak™ version.
How the skin looks in Factory New
The front of the receiver above the barrel carries a purple and blue creature with dotted details, followed by a green tentacled monster and a yellow-orange one. The rear of the receiver and the area around the magazine well are taken by a large red-orange monster with an open mouth full of teeth.
The finish is complete on every part, including the thin outlines of the creatures and the dotted pattern near the muzzle. The dark muzzle and magazine look grimy by design, not from wear. In game the gradient and the monster mouth read clearly even at a distance. Nothing on the receiver, foregrip or stock is scuffed.
Factory New wear: float 0–0.07
The whole float range of Souvenir MP9 | Food Chain is 0–1; Factory New takes the 0–0.07 segment (7% of the scale). Within the range, copies with a lower float look cleaner and are valued higher.
Origin of the skin
The skin’s collection is The Snakebite Collection with 17 skins in total.
The source is Snakebite Case.
Souvenir version
This is the Souvenir version: such copies dropped to tournament viewers in souvenir packages; the team stickers and signatures on them cannot be removed or chosen. Souvenir items never carry StatTrak™. There is also the regular version without tournament stickers.
Which stickers suit it
Bright multicoloured or holographic stickers match the rainbow gradient, while red and orange stickers blend into the rear monster section. Placing stickers on the dark front of the receiver keeps the central monster mouth uncovered.
What to look at before you buy
- Check where the float sits within the wear range, since wear on this finish moves from dark edges onto the colourful artwork.
- Inspect the thin outlines of the purple and green creatures near the muzzle, as they lose detail first.
- Look at the foregrip corners and the stock arms, which scuff earlier than the receiver.
- Check applied stickers and any name tag, because the busy artwork leaves little neutral space.
Who should buy Factory New
- Collectors who want the monster artwork and colour transitions exactly as designed.
- Players building colourful sticker crafts where clean detail matters.
- The grade for those who want Food Chain at its sharpest.
