Show allAllSkin overview
Green Plaid turns the MP9 into a soft, fabric-like pattern rather than a camouflage or a bright artwork. In Field-Tested the plaid is still clearly visible, but the top of the receiver, the muzzle and the grip ribs start to show grey scuffs through the paint. The worn spots fit the subdued colours, so the gun looks used rather than damaged.
Item type: smg. The weapon is available only on the Counter-Terrorist side. Consumer Grade is the lowest tier of the rarity scale: the most common skins, most often used in trade-up contracts.
Hydrographic: the pattern is applied as a film over the metal; wear rubs it down to the base, starting with raised parts.
The remaining qualities of this skin: Factory New, Minimal Wear, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred.
Appearance in Field-Tested
The receiver, barrel shroud and both grips are covered in a taupe base with a plaid of wide blue-green diagonal bands crossed by thin dark lines. The pattern runs at an angle across the body, so the diamond shapes shift from the top rail down to the trigger guard.
Grey scuffs appear on the muzzle, the top rail and the front of the receiver, and the grip ribs start to lose paint. The thin plaid lines fade slightly in these spots, while the wide bands stay clear. In game the gun reads as used but the pattern is fully recognisable. The side panels of the receiver remain mostly clean.
Field-Tested quality — float range 0.15–0.38
The whole float range of Souvenir MP9 | Green Plaid is 0–0.58; Field-Tested takes the 0.15–0.38 segment (40% of the scale). Within the range, copies with a lower float look cleaner and are valued higher.
Origin of the skin
The skin’s collection is The Baggage Collection with 15 skins in total. It does not drop from a case: the collection has none — such skins come from operation drops, souvenir packages or the market.
What it costs in each quality
By price this skin is 3rd of 11 skins Consumer Grade MP9 in this quality (the first being the dearest).
Souvenir version
This is the Souvenir version: such copies dropped to tournament viewers in souvenir packages; the team stickers and signatures on them cannot be removed or chosen. Souvenir items never carry StatTrak™. There is also the regular version without tournament stickers.
Stickers and crafts
Muted greens, teals, tan and dark brown stickers blend with the plaid and keep the subdued look. Placements on the side of the receiver above the grip sit on the patterned area and read well; a single cream or dark green sticker works better than bright multicoloured ones.
What to look at before you buy
- Check where the float sits within the wear range, since a low float in a grade shows noticeably less grey on the muzzle and rail.
- Look at the top rail, muzzle and grip ribs on the inspect view, as these parts lose paint first.
- Souvenir copies exist and come with stickers already applied, so check whether they suit the plaid before buying.
- Check stickers and name tag on any copy, since they change the look more than the pattern offset does.
Who should buy Field-Tested
- Players who want a calm SMG skin with a fully readable pattern.
- Buyers who like light wear that fits the muted colours.
- Conclusion: a balanced choice between look and budget.
