Skin overview

MP9 | Starlight Protector is a Covert Gunsmith finish built around a rainbow-maned unicorn on a pale base, framed by gold stars and gold trim. In Factory New the gold lines stay sharp and the unicorn's pinks, oranges and blues sit at full saturation against the light receiver. This is the grade for buyers who want the artwork exactly as designed.

Item type: smg. The weapon is available only on the Counter-Terrorist side. Covert is the top weapon rarity: usually the most prominent items of a collection or case.

Gunsmith: several techniques combined on one item; some parts rub off, others only dull.

The remaining qualities of this skin: Minimal Wear, Field-Tested, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred. The same quality also exists as the StatTrak™ version.

How the skin looks in Factory New

The receiver carries a pale cream base with a fine horizontal grain, scattered gold four-pointed stars and thin gold lines along its edges. The rear of the receiver is taken by the rainbow unicorn head in pink, orange, yellow, green and blue, the brightest element of the whole weapon.

The finish is intact on every part: gold lines, stars and the unicorn are fully preserved. The pale base looks clean, with no grey tint or grime. In game the weapon shows bright colour and crisp gold detail at any distance. Only the lowest floats in this grade are completely free of tiny specks under close inspection.

Factory New quality — float range 0–0.07

The whole float range of Souvenir MP9 | Starlight Protector is 0–0.8; Factory New takes the 0–0.07 segment (9% of the scale). Within the range, copies with a lower float look cleaner and are valued higher.

This is the Souvenir version: such copies dropped to tournament viewers in souvenir packages; the team stickers and signatures on them cannot be removed or chosen. Souvenir items never carry StatTrak™. There is also the regular version without tournament stickers.
