Skin overview

Negev | Bratatat is a comic-book finish: red-orange onomatopoeia lettering in a yellow outline runs along a grey-olive body, with painted bullet holes and a yellow sunburst on the box magazine. In Factory New the letters keep sharp edges and the burst on the magazine stays bright, so the cartoon look reads exactly as drawn.

Item type: machinegun. Mil-Spec Grade is the lowest rarity found in cases and the most common one among them.

Custom Paint Job: hand-painted across the whole body; this is the type where wear shows most, the artwork rubs down to metal.

The remaining qualities of this skin: Minimal Wear, Field-Tested, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred. The same quality also exists as the StatTrak™ version.

How the skin looks in Factory New

The base of the Negev is a grey-olive gunmetal tone that covers the barrel, carry handle, folding stock and grip. Along the receiver runs a large red-orange onomatopoeia word with a yellow outline, accompanied by painted bullet holes ringed in yellow.

The lettering, bullet holes and magazine burst are complete, with crisp outlines and saturated colours. The grey body has no visible scratches on the edges or rail. In game the red text and the yellow flash on the magazine are the first things you notice. Everything on the weapon looks clean.

Factory New wear: float 0–0.07

The float of Souvenir Negev | Bratatat ranges from 0 to 1; the Factory New quality covers 0–0.07 — 7% of this skin’s scale. Within the range, copies with a lower float look cleaner and are valued higher.

Where the skin comes from: collection and case

Souvenir Negev | Bratatat belongs to The eSports 2014 Summer Collection, which holds 17 skins.

It drops from eSports 2014 Summer Case (on sale since Jul 9, 2014).

Souvenir version

This is the Souvenir version: such copies dropped to tournament viewers in souvenir packages; the team stickers and signatures on them cannot be removed or chosen. Souvenir items never carry StatTrak™. There is also the regular version without tournament stickers.

Which stickers suit it

Red, orange and yellow stickers echo the lettering and the magazine burst, while black or comic-style designs fit the cartoon theme. Placing stickers on the plain grey stock area keeps the onomatopoeia on the receiver visible.

What to look at before you buy

  • Check where the float sits within the wear range, since the lettering on the receiver changes most between grades.
  • Inspect the magazine sunburst, because its corners and edges lose paint early.
  • Look at stickers on the receiver, as they can cover the onomatopoeia lettering that defines the skin.
  • On Souvenir copies, check which souvenir stickers are applied and how they sit over the artwork.

Who the Factory New quality suits

  • Collectors who want the comic artwork with full colour and sharp lettering.
  • Sticker crafters who need a clean base for a bright red and yellow theme.
  • The choice for anyone who wants the skin exactly as designed.
