Skin overview

Bratatat stands out by colour alone: hot red letters and yellow highlights against muted gunmetal. In Field-Tested the lettering and the magazine burst start to show scuffs, but the comic theme is still easy to recognise in hand.

Item type: machinegun. Mil-Spec Grade is the lowest rarity found in cases and the most common one among them.

Custom Paint Job: hand-painted across the whole body; this is the type where wear shows most, the artwork rubs down to metal.

Other qualities of this skin: Factory New, Minimal Wear, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred. The same quality also exists as the StatTrak™ version.

Appearance in Field-Tested

The base of the Negev is a grey-olive gunmetal tone that covers the barrel, carry handle, folding stock and grip. Along the receiver runs a large red-orange onomatopoeia word with a yellow outline, accompanied by painted bullet holes ringed in yellow.

Scuffs appear on the red letters and around the edges of the magazine burst, and the receiver edges show light metal. The bullet holes stay readable, though their yellow rims may fade slightly. In game the comic text still reads clearly, with some roughness up close. The stock and barrel remain mostly clean grey.

Field-Tested quality — float range 0.15–0.38

The float of Souvenir Negev | Bratatat ranges from 0 to 1; the Field-Tested quality covers 0.15–0.38 — 23% of this skin’s scale. The lower the float within the range, the cleaner the surface looks and the higher a copy is usually priced.

Where the skin comes from: collection and case

Souvenir Negev | Bratatat belongs to The eSports 2014 Summer Collection, which holds 17 skins.

It drops from eSports 2014 Summer Case (on sale since Jul 9, 2014).

Souvenir version

This is the Souvenir version: such copies dropped to tournament viewers in souvenir packages; the team stickers and signatures on them cannot be removed or chosen. Souvenir items never carry StatTrak™. There is also the regular version without tournament stickers.

Stickers and crafts

Red, orange and yellow stickers echo the lettering and the magazine burst, while black or comic-style designs fit the cartoon theme. Placing stickers on the plain grey stock area keeps the onomatopoeia on the receiver visible.

What to check before buying

  • Check where the float sits within the wear range, since the lettering on the receiver changes most between grades.
  • Inspect the magazine sunburst, because its corners and edges lose paint early.
  • Look at stickers on the receiver, as they can cover the onomatopoeia lettering that defines the skin.
  • On Souvenir copies, check which souvenir stickers are applied and how they sit over the artwork.

Who should buy Field-Tested

  • Players who want the comic theme to read clearly in game on a moderate budget.
  • Owners who do not mind scuffs on the lettering up close.
  • A practical grade for everyday use.
