Skin overview

The machine gun carries a shouting comic sound effect across the receiver and an explosion graphic on the drum-shaped magazine. At Minimal Wear the artwork is practically intact, with only tiny marks that are hard to spot outside the inspect screen.

Item type: machinegun. Mil-Spec Grade is the lowest rarity found in cases and the most common one among them.

Custom Paint Job: hand-painted across the whole body; this is the type where wear shows most, the artwork rubs down to metal.

Other qualities of this skin: Factory New, Field-Tested, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred. The same quality also exists as the StatTrak™ version.

How the skin looks in Minimal Wear

The base of the Negev is a grey-olive gunmetal tone that covers the barrel, carry handle, folding stock and grip. Along the receiver runs a large red-orange onomatopoeia word with a yellow outline, accompanied by painted bullet holes ringed in yellow.

Small specks may appear on the receiver edges and the corners of the magazine. The lettering and the sunburst remain whole and bright. At normal viewing distance it is almost indistinguishable from Factory New. A buyer gets nearly the same look for a lower grade.

Minimal Wear quality — float range 0.07–0.15

The float of Souvenir Negev | Bratatat ranges from 0 to 1; the Minimal Wear quality covers 0.07–0.15 — 8% of this skin’s scale. The lower the float within the range, the cleaner the surface looks and the higher a copy is usually priced.

Where the skin comes from: collection and case

Souvenir Negev | Bratatat belongs to The eSports 2014 Summer Collection, which holds 17 skins.

The source is eSports 2014 Summer Case (on sale since Jul 9, 2014).

Souvenir version

This is the Souvenir version: such copies dropped to tournament viewers in souvenir packages; the team stickers and signatures on them cannot be removed or chosen. Souvenir items never carry StatTrak™. There is also the regular version without tournament stickers.

Stickers and crafts

Red, orange and yellow stickers echo the lettering and the magazine burst, while black or comic-style designs fit the cartoon theme. Placing stickers on the plain grey stock area keeps the onomatopoeia on the receiver visible.

What to check before buying

  • Check where the float sits within the wear range, since the lettering on the receiver changes most between grades.
  • Inspect the magazine sunburst, because its corners and edges lose paint early.
  • Look at stickers on the receiver, as they can cover the onomatopoeia lettering that defines the skin.
  • On Souvenir copies, check which souvenir stickers are applied and how they sit over the artwork.

Who the Minimal Wear quality suits

  • Players who want a near-clean look without paying for the top grade.
  • Sticker crafters, since small marks are hidden in normal play.
  • A sensible compromise between appearance and cost.
