Souvenir Negev | dev_texture (Battle-Scarred)

Skin overview

Battle-Scarred turns the bright orange base into a patchy layer with dark metal showing through on the barrel, sights, ammo box and stock. The grey grid blocks survive better on flat surfaces, so the developer motif can still be made out. This is the cheapest way to get the finish and has a distinctly heavy-use look.

Item type: machinegun. Restricted sits in the middle of the rarity scale: noticeably rarer than Mil-Spec, yet not truly rare.

Custom Paint Job: hand-painted across the whole body; this is the type where wear shows most, the artwork rubs down to metal.

The remaining qualities of this skin: Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested and Well-Worn. The same quality also exists as the StatTrak™ version.

How the skin looks in Battle-Scarred

The receiver is painted orange with large grey panels on the top cover and side, covered in a fine grid like editor placeholder textures, plus small light technical markings on the orange areas. The barrel and muzzle are dark grey, with an orange stripe running along the handguard, and the front sight is picked out in orange.

Heavy wear covers the barrel, sights, ammo box, top cover and stock, with large patches of dark metal breaking up the orange. The small markings on the receiver are partly lost. In game the orange appears patchy rather than solid. The grey grid on flat panels holds out best and keeps the developer theme visible.

Battle-Scarred wear: float 0.45–0.65

The float of Souvenir Negev | dev_texture ranges from 0 to 0.65; the Battle-Scarred quality covers 0.45–0.65 — 31% of this skin’s scale. Within the range, copies with a lower float look cleaner and are valued higher.

Where the skin comes from: collection and case

The source is Snakebite Case.

Souvenir version

This is the Souvenir version: such copies dropped to tournament viewers in souvenir packages; the team stickers and signatures on them cannot be removed or chosen. Souvenir items never carry StatTrak™. There is also the regular version without tournament stickers.

Which stickers suit it

Black, grey and white stickers blend with the developer grid, while orange or yellow ones continue the base colour. Placements on the grey side panels of the receiver stand out most clearly against the grid.

What to look at before you buy

• Check where the float sits within its wear range, since a low float in Field-Tested looks noticeably cleaner than a high one.
• Inspect the muzzle, sights and corners of the ammo box, as these lose orange first.
• Look at the stickers and name tag, as they change how the orange receiver reads.
• Decide whether you need StatTrak™ or Souvenir, since both versions exist for this skin.

Who should buy Battle-Scarred

• Players looking for the cheapest entry to this finish.
• Those who enjoy a heavily used, patchy look.
• Conclusion: a budget pick where the developer grid still shows through.
