Souvenir Negev | dev_texture (Field-Tested)

Skin overview

Field-Tested is where dev_texture starts to look like a used tool rather than a fresh render. The orange and grey layout still reads clearly, but scuffs show on the muzzle, sights and corners of the ammo box. For many players this balance of recognisable colour and visible use is the practical choice.

Item type: machinegun. Restricted sits in the middle of the rarity scale: noticeably rarer than Mil-Spec, yet not truly rare.

Custom Paint Job: hand-painted across the whole body; this is the type where wear shows most, the artwork rubs down to metal.

The remaining qualities of this skin: Factory New, Minimal Wear, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred. The same quality also exists as the StatTrak™ version.

How the skin looks in Field-Tested

The receiver is painted orange with large grey panels on the top cover and side, covered in a fine grid like editor placeholder textures, plus small light technical markings on the orange areas. The barrel and muzzle are dark grey, with an orange stripe running along the handguard, and the front sight is picked out in orange.

Wear spreads over the muzzle, sights, top cover edges and corners of the ammo box, with orange chipping off to dark metal. The grey grid panels start to lose some contrast at their borders. In game the colour scheme stays clear and the damage reads as light use. The flat sides of the receiver and stock still look mostly clean.

Field-Tested quality — float range 0.15–0.38

The whole float range of Souvenir Negev | dev_texture is 0–0.65; Field-Tested takes the 0.15–0.38 segment (35% of the scale). The lower the float within the range, the cleaner the surface looks and the higher a copy is usually priced.

Origin of the skin

The skin’s collection is The Snakebite Collection with 17 skins in total.

The source is Snakebite Case.

Souvenir version

This is the Souvenir version: such copies dropped to tournament viewers in souvenir packages; the team stickers and signatures on them cannot be removed or chosen. Souvenir items never carry StatTrak™. There is also the regular version without tournament stickers.

Stickers and crafts

Black, grey and white stickers blend with the developer grid, while orange or yellow ones continue the base colour. Placements on the grey side panels of the receiver stand out most clearly against the grid.

What to check before buying

• Check where the float sits within its wear range, since a low float in Field-Tested looks noticeably cleaner than a high one.
• Inspect the muzzle, sights and corners of the ammo box, as these lose orange first.
• Look at the stickers and name tag, as they change how the orange receiver reads.
• Decide whether you need StatTrak™ or Souvenir, since both versions exist for this skin.

Who the Field-Tested quality suits

• Players who want the recognisable orange look for everyday matches.
• Buyers hunting for a low float that looks close to Minimal Wear.
• Conclusion: a practical balance between appearance and cost.
