Skin overview

P2000 | Obsidian is a red and dark lava-themed paint job, and Battle-Scarred shows it at its roughest. Large areas of metal break through the red swirls on the slide, muzzle and grip, leaving the pattern in fragments. It suits players who like a burnt, heavily used look or want the cheapest entry to this design.

Item type: pistol. The weapon is available only on the Counter-Terrorist side. Restricted sits in the middle of the rarity scale: noticeably rarer than Mil-Spec, yet not truly rare.

Custom Paint Job: hand-painted across the whole body; this is the type where wear shows most, the artwork rubs down to metal.

The remaining qualities of this skin: Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested and Well-Worn. The same quality also exists as the StatTrak™ version.

How the skin looks in Battle-Scarred

The slide carries a gradient from bare grey steel and black streaks at the muzzle to vivid red at the rear, covered in flowing, ripple-like stripes. The frame has a dark horizontal band under the slide, while the trigger guard and trigger are painted red.

Large patches of metal cover the slide edges and sides, the muzzle area and much of the trigger guard. The grip is heavily scraped, with the red ripples surviving only in fragments. In game the pistol reads as grey metal with red traces rather than a bright red gun. Remnants of the pattern stay mainly in recessed parts of the slide and grip.

Battle-Scarred quality — float range 0.45–1

The whole float range of Souvenir P2000 | Obsidian is 0–1; Battle-Scarred takes the 0.45–1 segment (55% of the scale). The lower the float within the range, the cleaner the surface looks and the higher a copy is usually priced.

Souvenir version

This is the Souvenir version: such copies dropped to tournament viewers in souvenir packages; the team stickers and signatures on them cannot be removed or chosen. Souvenir items never carry StatTrak™. There is also the regular version without tournament stickers.

Stickers and crafts

Red, black, gold or holographic red stickers fit the lava theme and blend with the slide gradient. Placing them on the darker front of the slide keeps the bright red ripples at the rear visible.

What to check before buying

• Check where the float sits within the wear grade, since a low value keeps the slide edges and muzzle noticeably cleaner.
• Look at the slide edges, rear of the slide and trigger guard on inspect, as these parts lose paint first.
• Make sure the red gradient on the side of the slide is intact, because it carries the whole lava effect.
• Note any applied stickers or name tag and whether you want them, as they change how the slide reads.
