Skin overview

Obsidian on the P2000 is built around flowing red stripes and dark streaks that imitate lava hardening into volcanic glass. In Field-Tested the red pattern still reads clearly, while scuffs start to show on the slide edges, the muzzle and the trigger guard. The worn spots fit the theme rather well, adding a cracked, cooled-down feel.

Item type: pistol. The weapon is available only on the Counter-Terrorist side. Restricted sits in the middle of the rarity scale: noticeably rarer than Mil-Spec, yet not truly rare.

Custom Paint Job: hand-painted across the whole body; this is the type where wear shows most, the artwork rubs down to metal.

Other qualities of this skin: Factory New, Minimal Wear, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred. The same quality also exists as the StatTrak™ version.

Appearance in Field-Tested

The slide carries a gradient from bare grey steel and black streaks at the muzzle to vivid red at the rear, covered in flowing, ripple-like stripes. The frame has a dark horizontal band under the slide, while the trigger guard and trigger are painted red.

Scuffs become visible along the slide edges, the muzzle face and the rear of the slide, and the trigger guard starts to lose some red. The grip may show light wear along its lower edge. In game the red pattern still dominates, with the worn spots reading as darker patches. The side panels of the slide and the centre of the grip mostly keep their paint.

Field-Tested wear: float 0.15–0.38

The float of Souvenir P2000 | Obsidian ranges from 0 to 1; the Field-Tested quality covers 0.15–0.38 — 23% of this skin’s scale. Within the range, copies with a lower float look cleaner and are valued higher.

Where the skin comes from: collection and case

The skin’s collection is The Shattered Web Collection with 17 skins in total.

The source is Shattered Web Case.

Souvenir version

This is the Souvenir version: such copies dropped to tournament viewers in souvenir packages; the team stickers and signatures on them cannot be removed or chosen. Souvenir items never carry StatTrak™. There is also the regular version without tournament stickers.

Which stickers suit it

Red, black, gold or holographic red stickers fit the lava theme and blend with the slide gradient. Placing them on the darker front of the slide keeps the bright red ripples at the rear visible.

What to look at before you buy

  • Check where the float sits within the wear grade, since a low value keeps the slide edges and muzzle noticeably cleaner.
  • Look at the slide edges, rear of the slide and trigger guard on inspect, as these parts lose paint first.
  • Make sure the red gradient on the side of the slide is intact, because it carries the whole lava effect.
  • Note any applied stickers or name tag and whether you want them, as they change how the slide reads.

Who should buy Field-Tested

  • Players who want a bright red CT pistol for everyday matches.
  • Buyers who like the cooled, slightly cracked feel the wear gives the lava theme.
  • Conclusion: a practical grade where the design still reads clearly.
