Skin overview

SCAR-20 | Short Ochre keeps its tan and orange identity even when heavily worn, because the colours are large flat areas rather than fine detail. In Battle-Scarred large patches of bare dark metal break up the tan on the handguard, magazine and stock, giving the rifle a rough, scraped appearance. It is the most worn and most affordable way to own the finish.

Item type: sniper rifle. The weapon is available only on the Counter-Terrorist side. Consumer Grade is the lowest tier of the rarity scale: the most common skins, most often used in trade-up contracts.

Solid Color: a single colour without a pattern; wear dulls it evenly and rubs it off along the edges.

The remaining qualities of this skin: Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested and Well-Worn.

How the skin looks in Battle-Scarred

The receiver, handguard rail and magazine are painted in a uniform sandy tan, while the barrel and muzzle brake stay dark steel. Orange accents mark the pistol grip, the stock butt plate and cheek parts, the scope rings and small controls along the receiver.

Large areas of dark metal cover the handguard, rail, magazine and the edges of the stock. The orange grip and butt plate are heavily scraped, with only part of the colour left. In game the rifle reads as a dark weapon with remaining tan and orange patches. The flattest receiver surfaces hold the most paint, but nothing looks fully clean.

Battle-Scarred quality — float range 0.45–0.747

Souvenir version

This is the Souvenir version: such copies dropped to tournament viewers in souvenir packages; the team stickers and signatures on them cannot be removed or chosen. Souvenir items never carry StatTrak™. There is also the regular version without tournament stickers.

Stickers and crafts

Orange, gold, brown and black stickers blend with the tan and orange scheme for a matching craft. Placements on the handguard and receiver sides sit on the large flat tan areas and read clearly. A single dark or white sticker can add contrast without breaking the calm palette.

What to look at before you buy

  • Check where the float sits within the wear range, since on a solid colour finish the amount of exposed metal is the only real difference between copies.
  • Look at the rail ridges, magazine edges and muzzle end of the handguard, as these parts chip first.
  • Inspect the orange grip and stock plates, because scuffs on them break up the two-tone look.
  • Check applied stickers and any name tag, as they change how the plain finish reads.

Who the Battle-Scarred quality suits

  • Players looking for the most affordable entry to this finish.
  • Those who prefer a rough, heavily scraped rifle.
  • The budget pick, with the scheme mostly worn into dark metal.
