Skin overview

The rifle wears a calm palette of ochre and tan, with orange used only for small functional parts. In Minimal Wear the finish looks practically the same as a fresh copy; any marks are tiny and sit on sharp edges you rarely notice in a match. It is a sensible way to get the clean look while paying for a less strict grade.

Item type: sniper rifle. The weapon is available only on the Counter-Terrorist side. Consumer Grade is the lowest tier of the rarity scale: the most common skins, most often used in trade-up contracts.

Solid Color: a single colour without a pattern; wear dulls it evenly and rubs it off along the edges.

The remaining qualities of this skin: Factory New, Field-Tested, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred.

How the skin looks in Minimal Wear

The receiver, handguard rail and magazine are painted in a uniform sandy tan, while the barrel and muzzle brake stay dark steel. Orange accents mark the pistol grip, the stock butt plate and cheek parts, the scope rings and small controls along the receiver.

A few tiny specks may appear on the sharpest edges, such as the rail ridges or the muzzle end of the handguard. The receiver, magazine faces and stock stay fully covered. At normal distance the difference from Factory New is hard to spot. The orange grip and scope rings still look untouched.

Minimal Wear quality — float range 0.07–0.15

The whole float range of Souvenir SCAR-20 | Short Ochre is 0–0.747; Minimal Wear takes the 0.07–0.15 segment (11% of the scale). Within the range, copies with a lower float look cleaner and are valued higher.

Origin of the skin

The skin’s collection is The Radiant Collection with 28 skins in total. It does not drop from a case: the collection has none — such skins come from operation drops, souvenir packages or the market.

What it costs in each quality

Among 5 skins of the SCAR-20 in the Consumer Grade grade and this quality, this skin is the dearest.

Souvenir version

This is the Souvenir version: such copies dropped to tournament viewers in souvenir packages; the team stickers and signatures on them cannot be removed or chosen. Souvenir items never carry StatTrak™. There is also the regular version without tournament stickers.

Stickers and crafts

Orange, gold, brown and black stickers blend with the tan and orange scheme for a matching craft. Placements on the handguard and receiver sides sit on the large flat tan areas and read clearly. A single dark or white sticker can add contrast without breaking the calm palette.

What to look at before you buy

  • Check where the float sits within the wear range, since on a solid colour finish the amount of exposed metal is the only real difference between copies.
  • Look at the rail ridges, magazine edges and muzzle end of the handguard, as these parts chip first.
  • Inspect the orange grip and stock plates, because scuffs on them break up the two-tone look.
  • Check applied stickers and any name tag, as they change how the plain finish reads.

Who should buy Minimal Wear

  • Players who want a near-clean look and do not inspect tiny edge marks.
  • Collectors of matching tan and orange loadouts.
  • A practical alternative to Factory New with almost the same appearance.
