Show allAllSkin overview
Battle-Scarred is the most worn version of Basket Halftone, yet the float range of this skin stops short of the heaviest damage. The orange base still covers much of the body, broken by heavy scratches on edges and raised details. It is the cheapest way to get the orange halftone look.
Item type: rifle. The weapon is available only on the Terrorist side. Industrial Grade is the second tier from the bottom: common skins from drops and collections.
Spray-Paint: paint sprayed over the metal; scratches and scuffs appear early but look natural.
The remaining qualities of this skin: Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested and Well-Worn.
Appearance in Battle-Scarred
The whole SG 553 is painted in burnt orange with a dark halftone and crosshatch grid running over the receiver, barrel and handguard like a woven basket. The rail covers on the handguard, the lower part of the pistol grip and the ribbed butt pad stay black and frame the orange areas.
Heavy scratches cover the edges, the magazine, the scope and the barrel area. The orange is patchy on the handguard and the grid is broken in many places. Because the float range ends early, the receiver and stock still hold a fair amount of orange, and the rifle reads as weathered rather than stripped.
Battle-Scarred quality — float range 0.45–0.6
The whole float range of Souvenir SG 553 | Basket Halftone is 0–0.6; Battle-Scarred takes the 0.45–0.6 segment (25% of the scale). Within the range, copies with a lower float look cleaner and are valued higher.
Origin of the skin
The skin’s collection is The Radiant Collection with 28 skins in total. It does not drop from a case: the collection has none — such skins come from operation drops, souvenir packages or the market.
Souvenir version
This is the Souvenir version: such copies dropped to tournament viewers in souvenir packages; the team stickers and signatures on them cannot be removed or chosen. Souvenir items never carry StatTrak™. There is also the regular version without tournament stickers.
Stickers and crafts
Black, white and dark brown stickers sit well on the orange grid and echo the black rail covers. Orange and gold stickers blend into the pattern for a monochrome craft. Placing them on the flat side of the receiver keeps them visible against the halftone.
What to look at before you buy
- Check where the float sits within the wear range, since copies near the cleaner end of a grade look noticeably fresher.
- Look at the rail edges, magazine and scope rings, which lose paint first.
- Souvenir copies come with pre-applied stickers that change the overall look of the orange finish.
- Check any applied stickers or name tag, as they affect how the rifle looks in your hands.
Who should buy Battle-Scarred
- Budget players who want the cheapest entry to this skin.
- Fans of heavily used finishes that still keep much of the orange.
- The lowest-cost entry to the orange halftone.
